Fun Round
Had a good day on the course- went on as a single, added to a threesome-
Pace of play was great. Greens were slow but rolled true. Will happily play there again.
Can’t wait to play in the spring.
Course in tremendous condition for the winter. He had lots of rain the week before so there was some standing water but that was to be expected. Only complaint would be the sand traps. Several were full of rocks. I had to drop out of one because there was not a safe place to hit from. I’m thinking this was a result of heavy storms also.
Lane Tree on 2/25
First time playing Lane Tree. Really enjoyed the course. Can’t wait to play it in the summer when it is plush. Typical winter conditions for NC. Greens were fast and true. My only issue was that what I booked was for $45 per person including cart fee.. When I paid for my round and a small bucket for the range in the pro shop, the fee was $65. Did I just pay $20 for a small bucket of range balls?? Otherwise, enjoyed the round.
Very nice course
This was my first time playing this course. I am from Phoenix and this course was in better shape than a lot of courses that I play back home. Greens were a little tricky as they were rolling pretty fast. Fairways were in good shape. I would play this course again.
Very fun layout. The fairways and green complexes were in overall good condition. The greens Rolled fine. We had a great time.
Overcharged at course.
I was told that the price on GolfNow was without carts and group was overcharged $60.
Fun Track
Fun course. Some fairways need some filling in but overall it’s in better than average condition compared to other courses in their price range.
One and Done
“Concrete” fairways with sparse grass. Most district destructive aeration to greens I’ve ever seen. I sure hope they recover.
Course needs some TLC
Newer carts, very affordable, friendly staff but course needs some TLC. Overall, course is very late in greening up, bunkers need lots of work, greens are very slow and need work. Fairways are wide and you are not punished for missing them, not a long course. Cart paths are not in the best shape. Not sure if I'll be back.
LANE TREE GOLDSBORO NC
Enjoyed the contrast of the course from low level front to a more hilly backside. Greens are slicker than snot but run true. Easy to get to and from with nice accommodations. Might need to go up a club or two on 9 and 18. Hit into a nice breeze coming downhill as you approach uphill greens on both holes.
Plush, challenging yet not too long
In my experiences, this course is the best in Wayne County NC and perhaps the surrounding areas. Played on a busy Saturday but the pace was good. The fairways and greens were in very good condition; and this motivated me to really dial back the driver and ensure I was in the fairway off the box. Many unique holes that require placement instead of power; which I like a lot. several changes in elevation require some thought re the next shot. I dang fun experience, and I look forward to getting "even" on hole 9 someday!
