Foxfire Resort & Golf Club - Grey Fox Course

The setting of this course would make you think that it would be awesome but it was a little underwhelming. The pros: great hilly terrain, challenging layout, lots of strategic bunkering around the greens, very scenic layout. The negatives: no water coolers anywhere, cart girl was never around, some of the tee boxes were in bad shape, and the bunkers were hard and rocky. It's a shame because for a course located around Pinehurst it leaves much to be desired.

Golf Course Sup has done a great job bringing back the Bent Greens. They were completely gone last year and now most of the green are looking great. They are rolling pretty good for this time of the year since they have to be left a little longer to handle the heat. For the price this is a great option in the area.

Overall the course is in nice condition! Nice layout. Friendly staff. Greens, tee boxes and fairways were all in great shape

Nice track, would rate it 4 stars, but greens only 2 stars, such a shame.
Lots of bare patches.
Fairways good though.
Nice clubhouse with excellent service and reasonably priced merchandise in shop.
Would revisit if I knew greens were better.

The course was great in June. Greens were so pure, however summer has been super hot and those bent greens just couldn’t handle the heat. Hopefully with the red being open the course will hold up better. I think it is gonna look great again in a few months with the cooler temps

This course has improved dramatically since the last time we played in 2017. Greens were very quick and challenging.
I would go back.

Course is in great shape for this time of year. Greens although having been areated a week or so before had bounced back great and rolled true.

An easy 4 star course. Great layout, sweet greens and awesome staff. I would definitely play again.

Enjoyed the round but got off to rough start due to over agressive cart guy. Didnt have cash to tip so he says " im going to remember you guys"

Played 5/7 and it was shocking the change of condition this Grey Fox has gone through. Tee boxes and fairways near perfect. Greens are in very good condition with the exception of a few spots along the fringes on only a couple of the greens. Bunkers were well cared for but still have a few stones but not anything like I played last time.
Will be interesting to see how the greens hold up in the heat as I think these are still bent grass. The Red Fox has Bermuda. Hopefully they keep up the maintenance and and maybe go Bermuda on the Grey at some point. Highly recommend this course now.

Good value for the money. Nice layout and course in pretty good shape for the weather.

This place is a gem, they over seeded for winter, great staff and well worth the price

Greens were very uneven with many bare spots in the peripheral portions. Beautiful surroundings and great value for Area near Pinehurst. Played another course, more than twice the cost, but only better greens. Fairways were comparable.

This course is challenging and also a lot of fun! Great pace of play and the course was in superb condition. I have now played both grey and red and I liked the red a little better and because the greens were in better shape. Loved every minute!
