Friendly Staff/Nice Layout
Played as a twosome on a Monday morning and could not have picked a better day to play. Course was pretty open, but we did get behind a group of member ladies who were kind enough to let us play through. Greens are in decent shape; rolled slow, but it is early in the season and they do have some poana grass mixed in that sometimes affects roll. Course has a fun layout with smallish greens that are somewhat domed. This is definitely a course we will come back to.
Not accurate Web Page
Rates are not correct on web. Email addresses don't work. Course was very wet but still had carts driving everywhere. Greens were small and extremely fast - seemed like they were domed. Everything rolled off.
Hr Drive from Surf City
SE Carolina has been hit hard by drought again leaving familiar coastal tracts in less than desirable shape. On a hunch we struck out for Duplin CC advertised on TV. What a pleasant surprise...and well worth the hour drive from the beach. Coming back next year!
I'm going back
First of all, we were greeted with a smile and with gratitude that we were there. The day was threatening in weather but we got through it. The course was amazingly nice and the greens were all uniform with subtle breaks. I thought the course was challenging and offered options for long-ball hitters as well as those who choose to play more strategically. It was a good course.
Hidden Gem Great Layout
Excellent Layout. Course and Greens were in excellent shape. Several holes had great back drops.
Reminds me of Donald Ross.
I would love to play there again.
Bad greens
Not sure the reason but greens were almost unplayable
Nice pro shop, quick play, course hap problems
The good. Great prices in clubhouse. Staff was pleasant
The bad. Greens were terrible, like putting on your lawn. Some bad layouts of holes
Hidden Gem!
This is a great course! The entire course was meticulously maintained, even after a ruthless hurricane just a couple of weeks ago! I very much appreciated the effort taken to make sure every tee box, even women’s, was level and raised (unlike some courses who just stick red markers somewhere on the fairway). Course is beautiful and greens were in perfect shape. Cart paths were even and paved. Check in was smooth & fast. Not one complaint about our experience today! Definitely worth the price! Other surrounding courses have higher fees but can’t compare with the experience! You won’t regret playing agnostic Duplin CC!
Nice Course
My partner and I were able to play 15 holes before we got rained out. Prior to that all was fine. Only one hole was in poor condition. The fairway near the green was being rebuilt and we were prepared. Yes, I would play this course again.
Nice sunny day
Front nine only. Back nine was too wet. Not the course fault... Weather has been very wet.
Nice Wide Open Course
Enjoyed my first time very much. Golfed as a single and had no one to join me. To be honest, I think I was the only player on the course. Rain was predicted but I started in a drizzle and finished with nice weather. A couple of holes on the back nine are being worked and were very wet and some mud. Cart paths are being updated. Overall I had a great time. Some long Par 4s and a couple of Par 5s mix with Par 3s to test your long and short game. Managed to keep it in the short grass all day.
always a nice course, had some construction going on,was nice
Great venue
Took three friends that had not played Duplin in several years and they can't wait to come back on a regular basis
Duplin Country Club
The course is always in great condition, staff is excellent. If you are in the area, this is a must play course.
Great deal
Staff and course top rate. Tees, fairways and greens are all some of the best I've played in a long time. It's an hour and half ride for me but at $17 well worth the drive.
Duplin value
Duplin CC is one of the best golfing values in the area, the course is in excellent condition and everything looks like you would have to pay a premium price but the cost is one of the lowest around. Always a good time.
