Disappointed
We've been going to Spring Valley for years, that ended today. We played 18 today, it was $30.00 walking. There were no flags on any green and the back nine was closed so we played the front twice.
I Would figure for thirty bucks and playing the same nine twice they would at least put flags in. Good job Spring Valley, the money always comes before service.
Recent experience
Play this course a few times a year as I am from out of the area. Recently showed up to play without a tee time as I travel to the area with my wife and can only get out when the opportunity arises. Anyway, the first two holes were empty as well as the clubhouse as far as it pertained to people getting ready to play. Unfortunately, I was told I couldn't play without a tee time. I entirely understand this and have played over 200 courses throughout many states but this gentleman's tone, arrogance and total disregard for attempting a solution prompted this review. It has been a very long time since I encountered such an attitude given the challenges golf courses face.
Course very scenic and well kept
Although we had to battle with spotting showers our entire round, we enjoyed our first time at Spring Valley. Our round finished with the site enclosed with the photo.
A very nice (Mom and Pop ) operation
Course was very wet, due to rains and numerous underground springs. Fairways were long. Cart path only on this very windy day.
The course plays longer than one would expect, due to several extremely hilly holes. I would like to play again under drier, less windy conditions. Got a great early afternoon rate on golfnow. This is a recent addition to the golfnow site.
Course was in great shape and great value.
I have played here about 10 times before, but it was in by far the best shape I have ever seen it. The fairways were mowed nicely and the greens were firm and rolling smooth for the most part. It isn't very long, and there are some quirky holes, but it is great value and I would recommend giving this course a chance.
Nice place
Had a good time. Pace was good. Fairways and greens were in good condition. Lots of hills and trees. Staff was very friendly. Overall a nice place that I would enjoy playing again.
