Geneva-on-the-Lake Golf Course

Course is great clubhouse is nicely laied out could use a bigger proshop, Staff is wonderful, Website needs help could not book a tee time online.

My group was scheduled to play on July 23. We had a 10:40 tee time. When we arrived there were 7 foursomes waiting and told we could not get off for an hour. No explanation as to why. We said we had a 10:40 tee time and didn’t want to wait an hour. All we got is “ I understand.” Tee times for a reason. We won’t be back after having played here 4 times previously this year and several times in the past.

I like the layout of GOTL. It’s in fairly good shape. Friendly staff. Was not busy so pace of play was perfect.

I wrote this big long story of my terrible experience, but figured nobody would read it anyway so I'll just say this:

Pros:
- Cheap
- Super close to Geneva-on-the-Lake. Like right there.
- Course was in good shape

Cons:
- I waited an average of 10 minutes on every tee box for the groups in front of me.

- At one point, myself and two other groups were waiting on the same tee box while the group in the fairway bought drinks from the beverage cart. I waited on that tee box for no less than 20 minutes.

No, it wasn't just that one group, the course was packed and overscheduled.

No, trying to play through would not have helped.

No, there was not a marshall trying to speed up play.

No, I did not continue playing after 9 holes.

I understand it's a laid-back relaxed vacation spot and nobody is taking anything too seriously. But c'mon.

Layout is actually really good. Storable par 5s make this track exciting for a first timer. The layout is actually superb from the blue tees.

The greens were immaculate too. The rest of the course….. well you payed for a $30 round, you got a $30 round.

The course is in great shape. Best I remember being in in the last couple years. Staff is excellent and accommodating. The only issue is with people going off the back nine when people are making the turn.

The course has made big improvements in the last couple years. I usually play the course a few times each year and played more this year than in previous years because of the course condition. Greens are soft and faster than most course I've played around here. Bunkers have been improved and are beautiful though I'd rather not be in them.

The GOTL golf course is an all around great course. The layout of the corse is great, they keep up on the greens,fairways, and more. The owner is awesome and if you don't have a tee time he will help you get in to play even though they are busy. (Although I recommend booking a tee time.) I would recommend this course to anyone from beginner to advanced.

I reallly liked the layout of this. The course conditions weren't the greatest with the lack of rain we've had the last couple months. The greens were in pretty good shape tho. But all in all for the cost and spending the day on the course with my 6yr old daughter, we had a great time.

I played here because I got a hot deal on GolfNow. I was paired up with another person who had picked the same deal whom I had never met before. The people working the course were very nice and accommodating. We are is a slight drought right now, but the fairways were very burnt out and the greens were average at best. On one green i had to putt through an area that still had aeration marks from the spring. Wednesdays they have a deal of $15 for 118 with a cart and I would say that it would be worth the money to play on those days. I would hesitate to tell anyone to play on a day where it is full price when there are other courses in much better shape with a 15 minute drive.

I played on a beautiful day with my 11 year old grandson. The course is shaping up nicely from the last couple of years. We had a great time and everyone there treated us great. Will surely
play again with friends. Keep up the good work.

2nd time playing this course in 2016. Course conditions are getting much better...the staff is working very hard to improve. The greens were in much better shape than last week. Highly recommend this course and will playing more this year!

Fairways and greens were in good shape. The greens were very slow and needs rolling and cut but I understand trying not let them burn! Was not happy with course conditions last year but they have vastly improved. Will definitely play course again soon!

Course was not in good condition at all. Overall Course was Like concrete. 26.86 for 2 people was perfect. Any more than you were taken advantage of..
