Turtle Creek Golf Course

About
Formerly known as Greenville Country Club, Turtle Creek Golf Course has been around since 1921, making it one of the area's oldest courses. Despite its long history, the relatively unknown course is known as one of the Miami Valley's best-kept secrets. It has a traditional layout that sprawls across acres of lush countryside, situated just outside of Greenville. The landscape is fairly wooded, requiring a bit of accuracy in order to maneuver through some of the narrow openings provided by the trees. There is a stream meandering across the golf course that comes into play on several holes. A few strategically placed bunkers also lurk around some of the greens. Turtle Creek Golf Course is player friendly enough for beginners but it is still an interesting round for more advanced players.

Not a long course, but old school. Tight driving corridors with mature trees everywhere. It’s now my favorite course!
Great Condition!
The course was in great condition and well taken care of!
Cancellation due to rain yesterday. They canceled.
They canceled due to rain from yesterday. Only front nine was open and it was walking only. They said they would cancel it for me.
REFUND
I went to this golf course with another play(in which I payed for). Total was 37 dollars after checkout. I set everything up on golf now and when we arrived to the course the pro staff informed us that the golf course was closed due to the ground being to frozen. I contacted Golfnow and requested a refund and selected “weather” being the reason for the cancellation. Golfnow denied my request.
One of our favorites!
This course will test your skills for sure! Not only do you get water hazards and trees, but you also get links style on part of the back nine! Great food and friendly staff! Only one thing I would add, would be a bell on hole #7 because it is a shorter par 4 and I have been personally hit by a ball because some golfers won’t go up and look before teeing off. We love the variety this course brings and at a great price! Thanks Turtle Creek ! Can’t wait to play here again! ⛳️
Sunday afternoon round
Turtle Creek is a challenging course, particularly because of the greens and unforced penalties you can incur being off the fairways. As a former country club course, that’s why I like to play it. Despite the greens fees which are higher compared to other local courses, the weekend play is slow. Maybe the course intentionally packs the tee times, but we followed a group on Sunday who literally weren’t wearing shoes. Barefoot. It slows the pace of play and deteriorates the overall conditions. Turtle Creek is still a great course, the staff is friendly, and the Thirsty Turtle is a fantastic bar and restaurant.
