Stunning views
Course is located in Amish country and the views particularly on the back 9 are stunning. Conditions were great and staff is very friendly. Will definitely be coming back and well worth the 1 hour drive from Akron. Cannot recommend enough.
Do not buy hot deal !
Look closely before booking this hot deal ,it is for 18 Holes but it is for walking so when you get to the course they charge another $16 each for cart !! We ended up paying almost $80 to play here and the course is in very bad shape I know there has been a ton of rain but all the bunkers are a muddy mess. There is no way most players could even walk this course! So thanks fireridge and GN for ripping us off.
Good course, great value
I grew up playing fire ridge in the early 00s. Course is in great shape as of mid-July. The back 9 is a difficult walk but the front 9 is radially walkable. Greens and fairways are in great shape. The layout on the back is challenging but overall I really enjoy playing Fire Ridge.
Hot deal didn't realize 18 walking had to pay $16 each for cart. Cost almost $80 ! Course very wet, understand but bunkers all mud..no average player able to walk 18. Thanks GN and FR kind of a rib off.
Great course
The pace of play was great tough couse staff was very friendly and helpful could use a bit more mowing to differentiate the fairways to the rough the greens were im great shape rolled true and fast
Great layout - needs some course maintenance
This is a tough course to play 'blind' - but they do give a tip sheet to know what is coming up. Lots of blind tee shots due to hills. The cart paths were in bad shape. The back 9 was in way better shape than the front 9. I enjoyed it, but probably won't go back.
Never again
Haven't played Fireridge in about a year. It has totally fallen apart. Can barley distinguish between rough and fairway. Front nine cart paths are absolute back breakers. Bunkers are now waste areas. No reason to even have rakes. I got a hot deal for $12. I wouldn't play it again for free! Such a disappointment cuz I really like the layout.
Worse course ever
We didn't even finish this course, the rough was 6 inches high couldn't never find your shoot, the fairways were terbile, the whole course condition we're bad.
Great Track
You’ll use every club in your bag here. Front nine is kind of open and back nine is tight with most holes emphasizing accuracy off the tee to set up a playable approach shot to the green. The greens are large, very soft, hold well and roll well. The staff was very friendly and gave our group some suggestions on how to play certain holes. It’s advisable to drive up the holes with blind shots to see where you need to hit your tee shot in order to have a workable second shot otherwise you may have too much club and drive through the fairway into trouble.

Glad you enjoyed your experience with us! Thank you for the comments!
Fabulous Course
This is a beautiful course with plenty of hills and challenges. One of my top two courses to play all year. If this course was in a populated area as opposed to Amish country they would be overwhelmed with players. Over an hour trip from Akron but well worth it.

Glad you enjoyed your experience with us! Thank you for the comments!
Interesting layout
Fire Ridge was in great shape. The greens rolled true with decent speed. The fairways are wide and nice and the rough was recently mowed(it was a few inches high and playable) There are plenty of Sand Traps and water hazards to make the course a challenge. Some shot placement is required as lakes and creeks are strategically placed near "driver" distance. The staff was friendly and the price was great for weekend golf! Try the homemade pie at the snack counter!!!

Glad you enjoyed your experience with us! Thank you for the comments!
A nice, hilly course in Amish country
Two totally different nines, front is rolling hills, back is newer, with steeper grades. Greens are excellent. Don't like #16, which has a split fairway, to an elevated green. Seems like an unnecessary tricked up hole.. Pace of play excellent, slightly over 3 hours. Clubhouse is an older home on the grounds, could use a little modernization. Staff was extremely friendly, providing a tip sheet for all holes. Front nine considerably longer than the back nine, so a few strokes can be improved there. A good course at a great Golfnow hot deal

Glad you enjoyed your experience with us! Thank you for the comments! Shhh...don't tell anyone I don't like 16 either!
Great challenge!
Read the tip sheet they give you and be prepared for challenging greens!

The Gem in Millersburg
Huge elevation changes, views of pastoral settings and challenging golf mark this beautiful course just on the east side of Millersburg Ohio. Easy to get to and theee most friendly staff you'll ever encounter. Playing a round by myself was completed in just under two hours twenty minutes. This included courteous players who let the faster player play through. No doubt about it..going back is a guarantee!!!

Fire Ridge
I'm live one hour away but love to play this course once a year. It's such a unique course and has some great views. I'll be back next year

Looking forward to seeing you again!
We had stopped by a day early to look at the course and an employee had met us in the parking lot and was extremely friendly and took us thru the clubhouse and explained when the course was built amd showed us several holes out the back of the clubhouse view! The day we played the staff was very polite and met us after our round to hand me $27.00 dollars back that had been over charged to my card because of a glitch in Golf Now account...WOW! I had no idea that I was overcharged...Thank you for your honesty! Definitely would recommend the course was in great condition as well but the staff was second to none!
Hills that challenge
Fire Ridge is one fantastic course.
Hills come in to play through out
Up and down hills add to the adventure of
club selection
The course provide information on all of the
fairways and greens. Use it.
Fire ridge oh
Course in great shape but I had to follow some regulars there who were extremely slow it ruined a good day , not sure if it's worth the price though even if it is a pretty course
Fire Ridge
When driving up to the course, my wife was reminded of the courses she played growing up in Belmont County. The course was in great shape, very challenging. Greens were fast, you definitely want to stay below the hole, but they were very receptive as well. The scenery was awesome, very picturesque. Was definitely worth the drive. We are definitely planning on playing there again in the near future. A must on any golfers bucket list.
I walk that course every day and it is very doable and they improved the conditions a lot in the past year.
