Affordable and fun
Gotta say, hats off to the staff. They were great to us upon arrival, feels like a home course even though I’ve only been there a few times. Off-season, but course was still really well maintained and most leaves in the area of play were picked up. Grateful to get out and play here!
Nice course to tune-up your game
Greens are the best feature here, although small they roll well, some we hold some don't.
Fairly straight hole layouts with 100-150yd approaches standard.
Solid Course
I’ve played a few other courses locally in the past few weeks and Loyal Oaks was by far in the best shape of any of them. Pretty wet in some areas but that was expected. Couple of the greens looked like the mower tried to eat them in spots but other than that I had no complaints. Greens were true but very slow…which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Friendly staff, great pace of play, can’t beat the price for a public 27 hole course. Not many hazards so if you want to play a solid course and just have fun and enjoy it, hard to beat Loyal Oaks.
Fun course
Recently played 3 other local courses and this one was by far in the best shape. Staff is friendly. Not a difficult course, not many hazards. Just a fun laid back round of golf.
Pass
Cash only first of all which should have been a red flag. Super friendly staff but course looks like it hasn’t been maintained since the 70’s. Rock hard “fairways” that are really just grass. Some places hard to even tell if there is a fairway. No sprinkler system so everywhere on the course is like hitting off cement. This course would be fine for someone learning to golf or if you plan to wreck an entire case of beers, thats it. Golf cart sputtered and almost broke down 8 holes in. Will not be returning. Super duper friendly staff but just not a good course unfortunately.
Loyal Oaks Golf
Course was in good shape and greens were nice. Tee blocks are not watered and were very hard to set tees. The area has not had much rain lately adding to a little extra roll when staying on the fairway. Nice day of golf on a nice course.
Fair for the Price
The course was decent. Tee boxes are a bit rough and they can’t afford to upkeep bunkers so there’s only one or two. Par 3’s are fun and challenging. Staff is super nice and helpful. Felt a little pricey for the course conditions but cool they have 27 holes to play from. Overall fair experience.
Great Course
I was pleasantly surprised by the upkeep of the course, it was wide open and seemed to play long which was enjoyable. It was a course nobody would have to worry about losing a ball. It was surprisingly not busy for a holiday week which was great, price was unbeatable.
Great For Casual Play
I’m sure the greens were kept long lately due to very hot weather. They were slow, but in very good shape. Layout is pretty simple. No dumb holes! Good, basic golf!
The 3rd 9
The 3rd 9 was really fun. Long straight fairways. A couple of water holes. Pretty fun for a new golfer.
