Gleneagles Golf Club

About
Gleneagles Golf Club, which is owned by the city of Twinsburg, is ranked as one of the area's top 15 most challenging courses, though, it is more player friendly than it seems. Beginners won't feel too out of place but accuracy is needed on this course with water coming into play on 11 holes and more than 20 strategically placed bunkers. The water hazards are particularly tricky. The fairways are lush and manicured and the well maintained greens putt fast and true. There are also some significant elevation changes throughout the golf course. A smattering of trees dots the landscape but most of the holes are wide open. It is a good challenge without being too intimidating. In addition to the course, Gleneagles Golf Club offers a driving range and putting green for golfers to warm up before their tee time.

Fun course but real soggy right now
The course will be great once it dries up a bit. This review is mostly about our experience with the restaurant Aaron and Moses.
We golfed early on Master’s Sunday and made reservations at the restaurant there for after our round to watch the Masters Golf tournament. It would make sense that every tv would be showing the Masters but that is not what happened.
They changed the main tv we were watching to a basketball game that had no bearing on the playoffs. They had a group of guys that were very loud so we moved closer to the bar and then the “bartender” tried turning one of the smaller tvs we were now watching to a music station???
We were told a group was coming in for the table we moved to and we would have to eat quickly and that was the last straw for us…we ate the swill they made us which wasn’t good and went to The Winking Lizard to watch the final 8 holes and man what a great golf crowd they had there rooting for individual players. It’s what we expected from the restaurant ON a golf course ON Masters Sunday!
While I really enjoyed the pleasant staff, starters and golf course and will certainly golf there again…I will never step foot in that restaurant again and highly recommend you skipping it as well. .
Super nice course
I had a great time today playing here at Gleneagles. For a city owened course it was in great shape. The fairways were really nice and the greens rolled true. We had some rain the last week but the course was in great shape. I can’t wait to play here again.

Always a pleasure
So nice to step onto a course towards the end of summer and see it such beautiful shape. Well taken care of. Hard to find a bare spot in fairways. We'll kept traps with good sand.. Great staff. Beautiful complex
Nice course - SLOW Pace of Play!
Nice course in very good condition. Friendly staff and beautiful clubhouse. Reasonable green fees also. Pace of play was VERY slow. 5 hrs++. Need to get some rangers out there to move the pace along.
Friendly golf course with fast green
This is my second time for this friendly golf course. The manager and starter person are very kind. Couple of holes of back nine require long tee shots. The dogleg left hole (#12 or 13?) requires a strategic draw shot and a long iron shot to a tricky green. The last, 18th hole requires a long tee shot and long 2nd shot over the pond to the small and fast green. After the demanding round, one can enjoy dinner at A&M restraunt in the club house.
