Reviews
Decent Winter Round
For being in the winter and in the middle of bunker renovations, the course was in good shape. It’s a fun track I’ve played a few times. The pace of play however was atrocious, it took almost 2 hours and 45 minutes to play 9 holes. They really need to enforce no groups of 5 on the weekend.
This course has no amenities
There were scant products in the pro shop, there were more used head covers for sale than golf balls. No sleeves, only dozens. The products that were available I would not buy even if I needed them, and no Titleist products. No GPS on the gas powered golf carts. No beverage cart on course. Conditions warranted cart path only which slowed down the pace of play (4 1/2 hour round). The course, however was in decent shape for the time of year though, albeit they need to clean the goose droppings from the greens. Typical City owned track.
Greens were way way too hard
The greens were like putting on linoleum floors. Way too hard ( Packed to tight)
I love the course I have played on it numerous times each year but this time was the worst shape the greens were in I had ever seen here..
Dried out
The fairways were in pretty decent shape, but the greens were hard as a rock and very dry. Also felt that the pace of play was a little bit rushed.
Firm and fast
Greens were firm and fast which made it challenging but fun. Hadn’t played this course in awhile but it was in great condition with really no dead patches
Where’s the sand?
Nice layout that has potential but overall condition was not good. Traps were unplayable due to almost complete lack of sand. I paid $50 with cart and would be willing to pay more for better conditioned muni.
Stone creek
I’ve played this for years and it’s still one of the best courses around with great fairways and Bermuda greens. Play it!!
Good
Everything was great except the bunkers i encountered were not playable so i just took relief but just like olde Paige it was worth the money haven’t played this course since i was in high school about 20 years ago. Brought back memories of me and my Grandfather playing it together so it was well worth it. If the bunkers were playable would have been a 5 star experience for me
