Riverside Golf & Country Club

Riverside does not get talked about as much as it's neighbor Columbia Edgewater Country club where the LPGA plays every year but it would be a mistake to overlook Riverside if you get the opportunity to play. Riverside is a classic "Golden Age" design by A.V. Macan. Who along with H Chandler Eagan designed the lions share of the prominent PNW private clubs. Small push up greens, Tall trees, and doglegs abound. The course was in pristine condition, the greens were perfect very quick but not unfairly so on the contoured greens, and the tees and fairways were also fantastic. Riverside has really cool variety of holes my favorites were the dogleg left par 4 12th and the par 4 15th which has a very cool elevated green complex. The course is not overly long but accuracy is key due to the abundance of trees and doglegs that require clubbing down or shaping your tee shots. Riverside is a reciprocal to my home course so it did not cost me anything to play since I walked and I look forward to coming back. Staff was very friendly, pro shop is well staffed, and the bar and patio seemed like a nice place for a post round cocktail. Very fun course I look forward to playing again and I recommend you play it if you get the opportunity
