Reviews
Not kept
May be the time of year but it looks as if this course has little maintainence all season. Dead patched all around, poor greens
Slow play & ball thief’s.
My wife and I were following a group of four ladies that wouldn’t let us play through. So we decided to skip a hole and they got upset at us. Also a groundskeeper picked up one of our balls, and twice other players picked up one of our balls. We play a lot of golf and never experienced such rude players.
Not well maintained
Played over the holiday weekend to try somewhere new. Skeleton staff which was fine due to the holiday. The course was extremely dry with dead grass and the ground was hard as a rock kicking the ball everywhere. Needs some major upkeep and attention. Won’t be returning. Don’t recommend unless you have nowhere else to go.
Please wait patiently
They don’t open till eight and that’s when someone starts to work. First get the carts out while our two groups waited from 7:30 till almost 8:30 to tee off. Are times were 8:06 and 8:16
Worth the trip
Delmar GC is worth the trip for a morning/midafternoon round. Afterwards you can enjoy something to eat in the bar. Worth the trip, course is continuing to improve
Enjoyable
Great time on a nice local course, friendly staff too
Still a good course with some nice aesthetic improvements
Having moved an hour north, it's been a while since I've been able to play here. They must have recently got some new signage and got their putting green back in order. The course was soaking wet, but they still had a full maintenance team out manicuring the course. Rough was managed and fairways were lined and short. Greens were quick despite being very wet. Still a tight playing course with some greens affected by fungus, but well worth the green fee to play.
A very good course
I love this course! There are some very tough holes on this course. I know some people might not enjoy Del Mar as much as I do. Yes there are some bad spots here and there, but that is golf, take a drop and move on. If people keep complaining and someone reads these bad reviews they may not go to this course. Then what happens, the course sells out and a developer buys it and puts up a bunch of tract homes and one less course to play.
Fun in the sun
Great course, great price for 18 holes at a course that is constantly improving. Course conditions are nice greens are large and roll well. Prices in the bar for food and drinks are fair After we finished our round and enjoyed "Wing night" in the lounge. Very friendly staff and delicious food, easily the best wings I've had at a golf course.
Did you ever consider the course was under a drought watch place by the county? The golf course, like others, we asked to limit watering due to the conditions
