Do not book through golf now
Fairlawn does not take tee time reservations. It is first come first serve. They do not use golf now to make the bookings. You will have to pay again at check in. Golf now needs to remove them
They do not accept golfnow reservations
They do not accept golf now reservations! Do not book through golfnow. They WILL NOT honor it. You will be charged twice!!!!!
This is true. It is posted everywhere once you arrive at course.
Why have they not contacted golfnow to fix this.?
Fairlawn does NOT accept GOLFNOW reservations
Talked to the lady today at Fairlawn (5/30/2022). She told me Fairlawn does NOT deal with GolfNow, and will BOT honor any reservations. She said there are no tee times. It is a first-come, first-served course. $19/9-holes, $26 for 18….
Do NOT reserve this course through golfnow
Fairlawn golf course will not accept your GolfNow reservation and you will be stuck trying to get your money refunded from GolfNow.
Pay money twice to play! Bad experience!
I booked the time and pre paid the fee through GolfNow. But the staff told me they didn’t get the money so I can’t play. Another guest met the exact problem during that day. The staff didn’t help us check the situation, and in the end we had to pay again in order to pay, but my money gone and there is no way to contact GolfNow(they didn’t leave any contact information on their app and website). Super bad experience.
Fair lawn Golf, Lincoln, RI
Executive style Par-3 Golf
Great course for beginners & and for improving chipping game.
Only pet peeve was that folk need to call fore when hitting an over played golf ball.
Other than that, I highly recommend.
Solid Par 3
Good course to work on your short game. No pressure. Fast pace
Nice par 3 9
First time was very nice. Me and my some played with our fling sticks. They have a bar and place to eat looked very nice and clean.
Fairlawn golf course
Haven't been to that course for years. Much to my surprise it has been renovated. The course is a small par 3 but great for practice. Staff was very friendly , greens and fairways were well maintained. Will definitely be going back.
Morning
Don’t go in the morning the sprinklers are on and if you play by yourself is not that fun you can go after 9:30
Learner course, but nothing more
There are basically no fairways, just grass and then greens. Some of the tee boxes were in rough shape. Carts had trouble getting up a few of the hills.
Perfect course for beginners & to practice your short game.
Course is a basic course, nothing overly challenging about it; it is a great way for a novice golfer to learn basic mechanics and practice their short game, As of 7/18./2020, my partner & I paid $22 per person for our round (9 holes--$44 total) with the driving cart included in the price; we teed off at 5 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2020...not sure if price is more earlier in the day. The driving cart cost a flat rate $10; it was not charged on a per-person basis. I thought this was a very good deal, as most courses charge carts based on its number of occupants.
Regarding course conditions, the 2nd hole had tire and mud tracks on it, albeit a little off to the side. However, the overall conditions of the fairways and greens were in very good shape. Greens run a little fast here. No real hazards on the course, outside of trees and a few sand bunkers. Hole 9 is a great finisher, allowing some golfers to utilize their drivers if they so choose.
Clubhouse and parking area appears to currently be under a bit of construction, but is open to patrons to stop in and grab a drink and hangout inside. The patio is also open. I believe the course has come under new ownership; however, I can't confirm. It appears they are really trying to get this place going, updated, and more appealing. Great work overall thus far.
Very slow
Played on a Saturday early in the season. Place was packed with no starter and no real system in place for managing tee times, etc. it’s a par 3 course, so you have to wait for the group in front of you to finish the hole. After every hole we would meet the group in front of us on the next tee box. Took 1 hr 40 min to play 7 holes, then l left. No grass on the tee boxes either. Maybe it is better in the summer.
And the GolfNow tee times don’t even get through to the course. Not sure why they’re even on the app??!
I will say the bartender (who also collects your money for the round) was very nice and welcoming. Best part of the experience.
Great 9 Hole Par 3!
Awesome place to practice, it’s fast and the course was in great shape. I’ll definitely be back.
Great course for short game
Went with a friend who never golfed before so we needed a short course with few people midweek. This fit the bill. Greens were in good shape and consistent. Enjoyed the round.
