The Valley at Eastport Golf Club
About
Architect Dennis Griffiths designed this track as a finesse course. He did not produce the typical beach layout when he created this 18-hole design, built in 1988. It has narrow bermudagrass fairways and large bentgrass greens and is bordered on the east by the Intracoastal Waterway.
Holes No. 1 through 15 are short, and the course lulls you up to this point. Then, the last three holes are uncharacteristically difficult. The course is mostly flat, with occasional uneven lies. Some tree-lined fairways have doglegs. The course is always fun to play and an especially fun round of golf for couples.

Good playing for the money
Surprisingly good value for the money even if some of the greens are burned.
Short course, it will challenge your mid and short irons play.
Save Your Money
We had a 7:30 tee time and 5 groups were on the first tee. No starter or ranger. The course needs A LOT of maintenance and TLC. Very few rakes available for the sand traps. The greens need to be rolled. The fairways are very spotty. The course layout is quirky and often times you need to wear a helmet because several holes are close together. You need a GPS because of the many water holes. There are 70 courses in the Myrtle Beach area and 69 are better than Valley at Eastport Golf Club.
Just ok
Starter not very friendly…no interaction other than gietting the cart. No information about course or anything! Tee boxes and greens are very worn. Big backup on 1st tee. Moved along fairly well after that though
Valley at East port is great
We had a wonderful time playing at The Valley at Eastport. The pace of play was pretty good even when the course was packed. We enjoyed the layout and the conditions were good, although we were unfortunate that the greens had recently been plugged. This made green reading difficult but we all said we wish we could be back to play in a couple of weeks. I would recommend playing here to anyone. Play the correct tee for your ability and I believe you'll have a great time
Bang for the buck
Nice course, staff super friendly and helpful. Greens in great shape.
Cart paths could use some upgrades.
Challenging course
A number of water holes make this course challenging. It’s in good condition. Some of the greens were bumpy and a bit rough Overall we had a great time and would go back again.
Tracy
Great time 2 weeks in a role. Great course except 17th and 18th hole. Why so big of ponds! 🤣 will be playing again for sure.
Fun course to play, some very challenging holes. If I lived in the area, I would definitely play this course frequently.
Scenic
Scenic holes and well thought out variety of tees and greens.
Fun Course
I enjoyed the round. For this time of year, it was in pretty good condition. A couple of greens had some bad spots but it didn't affect play. The layout is fun with a great variety of holes some tight tee shots, some wider target areas. Short holes where you have to think a bit and longer holes (the finishing par 4 18th is a beast). Pace of play was reasonable for this area. I will definitely play here again on future trips.
Greens need a lot of work. Very bumpy..I probably won’t come back.
A pleasant surprise.
This course was a pleasant surprise. It is easily accessible, open enough for a new golfer with some challenging holes (especially 17 and 18). There wasn’t a beverage cart but I didn’t expect one on a Tuesday in April. It is a fantastic value!
