Rude rude rude
We came to play golf with family and have a good time. Our tee time was 8:00. At 8:45 we were finishing hole three so taking us about 10-12 minutes per hole. We had a new player with us (my daughter) and my son who this is the first time we’ve played since he was 12-13 and he is 37. They told us we either had to “pick up the pace” or not play. They said people complained that we took 30 minutes per hole. Which obviously was untrue because of the time as mentioned above. If you are tiger woods this is a decent course but if you are looking to have fun go somewhere else and pay less because this was too expensive and too many rude people to play a decent round of golf.
Great courses for locals
We are very fortunate to have such a nice golf courses in our area. The greens are always in great shape even though the weather has turned very cool in our area. But in the spring, summer and fall you will not find two better courses to play than the Highlands and River course in Sevierville. The practice facilities are also very good !
Course in great shape
The golf course was in great shape BUT the beer prices were awful $ 24/ six pack. The staff sent an email out to all players that they would be disqualified and band pplfrom the course if you were drinking on the course and didn't get the Alcohol from them!!!! This is a horrible way to treat the Patrons that came out to play in their golf tournament.
Great track!
This was a great course! The front 9 reminded me of playing at Myrtle Beach while the back 9 reminded you were in the mountains.
Even after experiencing a lot of rain and flooding recently, the course was in great shape and the greens were pure and rolling great.
From the time you drop off your clubs, the staff was super friendly and accommodating.
My only complaint is that I didn't get to play the River Course or take advantage of the replay rate!
If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend playing here!
Nice course
We were switched from the Highland course to the River course with our approval. This was our first time playing this course and would definitely play again. The views were just stunning. Not familiar with playing in mountain terrain I didn’t have a clue how the greens were breaking. It didn’t matter the course made up for it. Very well laid out course. No two holes are the same. A must play if in the area.
Rugged Mountains
This is a very challenging course in the mountains. Hills, sand water, very challenging greens fast and undulating!
The grass off the fairway is so thick it swallows the ball! Had a great time!
Great course not without its challenges
Played Highlands course on Oct 18, 2018. Course was in very good condition and rough was recently cut. A few fairways were still soggy from recent rain, but overall course in great shape. Bent greens were soft and would hold, but were quick!!! With pin placements on ridges, it made for some tough putts. Overall, great weather and course condition, will definitely be back!
Awesome
Very nice course well-maintained challenging also . The people were very friendly I am a Vietnam vet and was treated with upmost respect . I would love to come back and play this course again .
Thank you, Tom
very nice course
a very nice course the only thing i can say bad about it is the layout of the course is a little confusing at the beginning because the two courses seem to intertwine
Fair, but challenging course
Very impressed by eery thing at the course. Only thing that was not first class were the greens. They were very spotty and there were lots of unfixed ball marks. I would not hesitate playing again and I would highly recommend. Best course in the area in my opinion.
Highlands is a shot makers layout
Very nice course, however the driving range was closed so had to sit until the starter allowed us to. So for 30+ minute with no one going off the tee box we sat...
Glad we played but probably would not go back considering the number of courses available!
Lovely course
The course covers a lot of land. It's too bad that there isn't a card to show the layout. A lot of driving.
River Island
VERY challenging course. Course is in fair condition; but I feel the bad winter we just experienced was the culprit. Absolutely beautiful surroundings. Will definitely play this course again.
Unique Layout, but expected more!
Visited this course 2 days prior to playing, to get the gist of the layout and details, since we were staying nearby for vacation. We heard it was CARTPATH ONLY because of "astronomical" rains during the spring and immediately pinned our ears back. Unfortunately, ALL of the courses in the area had the same rule. We decided to play anyways.
Discounted greens fee which was a plus, but it was for the aerated greens. Nice layout, first 6 holes are flat with lots of water, then cross the street and get into Hilly terrain. The winds were brutal but thank god for warm air. The fact that the majority of the course was BONE DRY had me scratching my head as to why it was cartpath only. Typical uptight setting, city owned course. Didn't see a beverage cart until the 14th hole, major disappointment. Had to call the clubhouse TWICE to request it. 36 hole Complex, probably need more bev cart drivers. All in all a cool layout with 6 par 3s, some over 200 yards, but nothing spectacular as I fully expected being in the SMOKIES. Only got to play once during the week due to sub-par temps. Hope to return to the area in the future and check out other tracks.
Nice course
Great course, however was hoping it was carved out of the mountains. Other than being a great course with nice architecture, it is just like what I play back in Michigan.
Course was wet and cart paths only. Other then that the course was great. Greens were fast, easy to read
