Panorama Golf Club - Thunderbird Course

The pace of play is one of the slowest, if not the slowest around the Houston area and the Management Staff doesn't seem to care. We've played here several times and it's pretty much the same every time. Yesterday (3/18/25) was the worst ever to the point of quitting. Hard to get in a rhythm as we waited on every single hole for the groups in front of us. When I asked in the Pro Shop what was going on I was told they had a teen tournament coming up and those teens were doing their practice round. When asked why they would put us in the middle of kids "practicing" the guy said they were playing not practicing. I said it's in the name, "practice round". I even told him that they were hitting multiple shots and putting from multiple angles on the green. He seemed to be getting mad that I was questioning him. I asked if they had a marshal and he said "yes" and that pace of play was being monitored. I repeated what I saw with the groups in front of us and he said that the pace of play wasn't behind even elevating his voice and tone. When I told him it took us 2 hrs 45 mins to play 10 holes all he said was "I understand". They just don't care. Can't see us going back.

I recently had the pleasure of playing at panorama golf club , and it’s no surprise it holds a Gold Rating. From the moment you step onto the property, you’re greeted by impeccable landscaping and an inviting atmosphere. The course is beautifully designed with challenging but fair layouts that cater to golfers of all skill levels.

Visiting from MN and love the hospitality and layout. The staff is awesome, from pro shop, bar, carts, to food staff! Food was also amazing, great way to end a round! Definitely will play again! (This was a third time golfing here already). Highly recommend!

I love playing here, greens are always in great shape and well maintained. The course is well cared for, the staff is friendly, and the facility is clean and well equipped. Driving range is good and the members are friendly. There 9 hole course allows for many rounds with different challenging yet fun rounds.

Course is in great shape with fairway and greens. Most of Houston area courses are flat but this one has beautiful rolling hills. We played hole 1-9 and 19-27. Small bucket of driving range balls per person is nice touch of hospitality. We finished just a bit over 4 hours so perhaps we lucked out on Saturday afternoon. 1pm Tee time. Would definitely come back.

The front nine had a pretty good pace, but after hole #10 we ran into a fivesome and things slowed down considerably. I am not a member here, so maybe fivesomes are actually allowed. I did see the Marshall drive by a couple of times, but apparently nothing was said. There were holes open in front of them, but they did not give us the option of playing through.

The greens are absolutely a mess. This is the worst green condition in Houston.

This course is everything you could ask for when looking for a round under $100 and we paid $37 on a Friday. All the staff members were great and accommodating. The greens were in great shape!

Great course, fun layout, pace of play was on par, starter was very friendly. 10/10 recommend will be back

The greens are lacking for grass this time of year.

Really like this course layout. Played a different front 9 to previous rounds but still vey good. Golf Carts fitted with GPS technology confirming hole layout and distances which really helped and enhances the experience.

Not a amazing course the back nine is definitely in better shape and the pace of play was super slow since the group in front of us were kids who never played golf before and really slowed things down overall not amazing should be a little cheaper for the course

I truly enjoy playing on this course. From the layout, to the price for what you get, its a great place to play!!

First time playing Panorama so relied on staff for guidance - 3 x 9 holes - we played 19-27 and 1-9 holes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Despite rain the day before the course was in good condition. Carts all had electronic course layouts and yardages which was great. A nice variety of short and long holes - some with water hazards and others lined with tress and houses. Fairways looked wide and inviting with some straight and others dog legged left and or right. Really enjoyed the variety of holes. Pace was very slow (30 mins longer than is normal) as we had a 5 ball in front of us and we were playing as a 3. Apart from that really enjoyed it and will certainly be back.
