Fox Run Golf Club

An unbelievable course with an incredible attention to detail. This course is a hidden gem! After golf, we ate at the restaurant Calcuttas (www.calcuttasvt.com). The food was amazing and the outdoor patio is beautiful with views of Okemo Mountain.

Beautiful mountain course with incredible views. The tee boxes need some help but the greens were in excellent shape. I would estimate they were running at least 11 and very smooth.

This a beautiful course in an idyllic setting to enjoy a day playing golf on a difficult but fair course. Greens are pretty tricky, but manageable.
Everything from the driving range, Pro Shop, Beverage cart, golf course, and restaurant was top notch, and the Starter/Ranger was the most informative and friendly individual I have ever encountered. He did his job well and checked in with gofers throughout the day to see how you were enjoying the course and how the pace of play was for you. I can't say enough how great it was to have a course ranger actually do his job so well! Fox Run GC is a great place to play and would highly recommend it anyone that residing or traveling in the Okemo Mountain, VT area.

Only one area to complain about on this course. The views were spectacular, the conditioning was excellent, the layout challenging but fair, the staff for the most part helpful and friendly. But the greens! Lightning fast, which I prefer, but unbelievably contoured yet subtle. If you don’t mind plenty of 3-putts then this is your course. If I played this course regularly then I would enjoy getting to know the greens. But as a resort player, I don’t like paying their high (for VT) greens fees to rack up putts.

Overall probably would have rated 4.5 if was possible mostly for the outstanding course conditions and staff.
Golf is pricey but we knew that when we booked it.
It was not busy making the pace of play frustrating. Started out ok then two 2-somes paired up and one pair were clearly novices taking numerous strokes and even receiving swing lessons. Instructions should have included golf etiquette. A plus is at the turn a ranger spoke with them and they improved their pace some for the back 9.

The idea of not having any water available on the course on one of the hottest days of the year is unforgivable. No one told me that the jugs had been removed and the only available liquid would b from the beverage cart !
The severe lack of water and incredibly slow pace left a very sour taste in my mouth!
I will never play this club late on a Saturday afternoon again!

It’s difficult to state in words how truly impressed and amazed I was with this golf course. From the very moment I walked in the pro shop I was greeted with an extremely friendly staff who is willing to chat about my previous golf experiences and give me helpful information on the course. As soon as I Teed off I could tell that this course was going to be a very memorable round, all of the tee boxes were in stunning condition and the fairways were flawless. The undulation of the course added a degree of difficulty however did not take away from the overall enjoyment of the round. What made this course a true test of golf were the undulating and very quick greens. After the round I had the pleasure of meeting the pro who is very cordial along with the rest of his staff. I will certainly be returning to Fox Run golf club despite the hour drive from my home.

Rained out after 9holes. Very friendly resident pro gave me a 9 hole rain voucher. Just a great place to play. Thirty five dollars Sunday aft can’t beat it

Course was great, as we were off early there were no delays on the course. Beautifully set up. We had lunch on the patio. The staff was willing to turn down the canned in music, which we appreciated.

Fox Run was a 9 hoper that was expanded some years back. The front 9 is definitely a modern layout with contours, large bunkers and greens. The back side is a little more level, but both out and back are stunning. The course was in great, I say Great shape, fresh cut cups, raked bunkers. A real top shelf experience.

Great course. Got out at 7:15 by myself and played in just over 2.5 hrs. Conditions near perfect

Course was in great shape for May. Loved the layout. Unique and fun. Tons of risk reward. Hard to imagine the greens on a hot summer day.

my wife and I have played this course many times over the previous two decades when it was operated by Okemo personnel - always a delightful experience - but not this time as the front desk personnel was very unfriendly, Plus the charge for a small bucket of practice balls is outrageous! we won't be returning until we hear about a turnaround,,Please be aware that many of the reviews pre-date the new owner take over
