Goat track
This is one of the worst shape courses , I think I've ever played. The grens are so slow and bad spots all over them ,it not possible to putt. Plus 4 of the greens were not even open. I should have went and got my money back, but will never come back here. Will tell my friends
to stay away
Nice course for the money
I saw a billboard about the course, so I called and booked a tee time. Since it's mid July and will get hot quick, playing in the mountains is a smart idea. The layout is like most other mountain courses, with the ball sometimes above your feet, sometimes below. Greens were smooth. They did have a few brown spots on them. The manager explained during the heat the irrigation broke. However, they rolled great. It's not long. It's like any golf course, keep it in the fairway and you can score. Great views of the mountains since it's right off the blue ridge parkway. If you like a mountain home, this is for you. The best part is it was 65 when we teed off and 75 when we finished with a nice breeze. 15 minutes away is was 90. Great time and will be back. It's a value course. If you want Pinehurst, pay and sweat. If you want a comfortable round of golf, this is you
Great Mountain Course
First time I played this course and it was great playing a marvelous mountain course. Down in the flat lands temperatures were running in the high 90's but at Sky-land Lakes it may have reached 82. What a pleasure it was to be treated so very well by all the staff at Sky-land Lakes. Can't wait till the next time we have the true pleasure of p[laying Sky-land Lakes.
