this course is still open though closing soon unfortunately. It is still in good shape. some really tough par 3's. some easy par 5's.

Lake Wright golf course has been a favorite of many golfers for years....what a shame it is closing to build an unneeded Outlet Mall.Such a waste.You will be missed

Allowed two groups of 5 and one group of 4 to play. Would not allow group of 2 to ya ahead. Slow play and took over 4 hrs as they were regulars and had not a concern for others.

I grew up playing at Lake Wright and it has been fun. The course is in great condition. Had a blast with my friends. We will be back before it is gone for good.

Lake Wright is a Norfolk original that is being sold off for yet another Mall. Play this little bit of Norfolk history while you still can ... It's in great shape and has some quirky holes. The day I played could have used a Marshall to move things along, but still a good day on the fairways

I have been playing there for years.the course is in great shape. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.

Nice layout of the course overall but the fairways and greens needed some work as there are many patches with no grass or very little grass to work with. Wanted to play it 2 times originally but once was enough for me there. I would re-play it late summer and see if it improves which I do feel it would be worth while play maybe by then!

The course was good value and in good condition considering the rumor that the course is planned to close to make room for an outlet mall. Too bad it's closing.

Course was in OK condition, weather was very windy making some holes much more challenging than usual. Pace of play was very slow, I was only able to finish 14 holes before leaving for an appointment....I can usually play 18 in right at 3 hrs on most courses. Slow players were the major cause. No course marshall available to speed up play.

Course conditions very poor. Staff were nice. I think they are tearing course down so I think that may be cause for conditions. I wouldn't want to pay any more than 15 bucks

This was a nice open course with a few challanges to make it exciting. Great course to work on your game.

The course was in good shape for the winter, it's just a very basic course. Wide open. On the plus side no houses.

First off great job to Golf Now for the round rate. Fair ways where well groomed and rough was neat. The grounds keepers keep the fall leaves up not piled in the woods. Bunkers played wet but due to recent rain. The greens played slow and backspin was limited due to the decrease in temputure. Well maintained course would highly recommend.

A nice 18-hole course. Most of the course is wide open and allows a player to grip and rip with the driver. Keep it straight on hole #11. Pace slowed for us on the back 9 due to a very slow group that would not let anyone play through. First time that happened on that course for us. I will be back again.

Also, the snack bar ladies are fantastic and make some great food!

No real waiting on any part of the course for a mid-day weekend tee time

The course was in fairly good condition, though you are very likely to encounter some shots that will be off hard-pan even though you are in the fairway. (Lake Wright has ALWAYS had some creepage of "non-grass" areas in 3 or 4 fairways in particular.) Overall, a good value for the price. I've always been impressed with the upkeep of the greens, though they were a tad bit shaggy today.

Maintained mostly but they could use more sand in the sand traps which are kind of hard with small pebbles too. I have played there in the past and the sand traps were water hazards due to poor drainage well after any rain.

This course is perfect for a long hitter, very challenging 200+ yard par 3's. Long fun par 5's

Staff was great and made you feel welcome. Greens were still in very good condition. Fairways have been better, but being later in the season it is expected. Overall a great course for the price.
