Enjoyed Our Round
Wife and I played here while vacationing in the area. The course is on NAS Whidbey Island - the naval air station. However, you don't have to enter through the base gates to make access. Interesting history on the course. Some interesting/quirky holes. A few blind shots. Tees and greens were in decent shape. Fairways were a really mixed bag. It wasn't a private club, but not bad for being a government installation. Great scenery! The base shooting range is right next door, so you occasionally have to deal with gunfire during your backswing....not mention a free airshow overhead from planes in the landing pattern. Can't beat it for the price.
"Conditions a Go"
Course conditions were a Go during our 4 some. Really appreciate the pace of play & how well the course had drained over the rainy days. This has to be one of the few driest courses in this area.

Fun but challenging course. Great layout, ocean views. If you are on your game you can score well, if working on your game it has room to do so.
Parr 3’s not your typical Parr 3. Playing from the tips in the summer is AWESOME a different track.

Enjoyed playing course again , just punched but expected best value for area especially using golf now .
First Timer
Course was in pretty good conditions for this time of the season. Had a great time. Very challenging for the first time. I think once you get familiar with where to play the holes it will become more enjoyable.
Gallery overs views and challenge
Greens are in good shape. Fairways are getting dry. Some landing areas are brown this time of year. A fun challenging course that has wide open fairways and some holes are more narrow, making you play target golf. Can easily walk the course.

Wonderful course . need to play more than once to know way around the course . will play here again for sure ! Layout of course is great .
Fun, well maintained, gorgeous vista
The course has a nice layout overall, the greens make small but fair targets, fairways and grounds nicely maintained and view of the Straits gorgeous. Local knowledge VERY helpful!

Fun good views
Pray u bring your straight game cause anything off the fairway is gonna be an xtra shot if you find your ball grass is long and heavy can be very challenging with all that said it really is an amazing course had lots of fun didn't hurt that it was a beautiful day out
soggy front 9
Played on a golf now deal-- very soft and wet front 9-- ball would plug, would lose balls in grass cuttings, etc. Back side is better. I would like to play it in the summer time when conditions are better.
Great course
Great course. For March the course was in amazing condition. Got a deal on golf now so we went.....would have been expensive for this course without the golf now deal. Would play again though.
A local gem
An old established course with that has been here for years. Gorgeous water views. Great day for golf and the course was empty. Saw a couple other groups but never had anyone around us. Cant beat this course.
Would do it again!!
Pace of play was great - under 3.5 hours!! Will be sure to back for more!
Disappointing
Considering that the area has had less than average rainfall this summer the greens were in good shape minus some infected spots, but the rough was a goat ranch and the fairways were not much better.
This was the 2nd time in three days I played and the first time was fair after finding a GolfNow discount (not worth the regular greens fees by any means at all), but when I came back the second time I got a call from family asking me to come home early. When I asked for a rain check to come back the next day I was told sorry its not raining and unless I was active duty military being recalled immediately they would not give me one.
As someone visiting Whidbey Island it was sad thing to happen, as nearly every golf course Ive ever visited would all for a raincheck under those circumstances.
I could go back but like most golfers I have long memory and now wont waste the money on an overpriced course with poor customer service.

A good course to play on vacation. Good variety, especially on the back 9 with two par 3s on the front with lots of elevation change. Growlers flyby for a free air show.
