A great bargain in Seattle
West Seattle is my favorite of the municipal courses in Seattle. The layout is interesting and can be challenging or relaxing depending on the pin placements and wind.
The day we played it was forecast for rain but we only had a few sprinkles. There was no-one else on the course and we played at our own pace. The greens have always been a highlight and they rolled true even in the damp conditions.
A great place to play!
First 13 are nice
It's a really nice layout for the first 13 holes but the last 5 holes are just not very good, up and down side slopes. Very fun course to play.
Best Seattle Muni
I play here 20-30 times a year. Course conditions can be challenging during the early Spring wet weather. After April, it is lush, and after May it turns into very fast conditions all summer. Property is mostly ravines and extremely hilly on back nine. Most valuable shot you need is ability to play off uneven lies. Well maintained and fast greens but fairways are allowed to go dormant. Very friendly, professional management and crew. Small intimate 19th Hole. Blue tees 6400y, 70.0/126 White 6046
