Course is in great shape
Greens were recently plugged - but realize that's something that must be done and there's never a great time to do it.
Booked on golf now and then the course wouldn’t honor the price that was booked and charged $30 more per person because it’s now “summer” rates while there was also a frost delay. Just bad business to pull something like that. All while the rates posted for that day on their website still showed the same prices we book at.
Love this course
Love this course. Keeps getting better every time I play it
Very Nice Course
Lewis River golf course's condition has been improved greatly after changing ownership. I found it to be a very enjoyable place to play golf again. Having played there off and on for the past thirty years, it was great to see it in such good shape, especially in winter.
Frozen..
I really love this course! It only gets 3 stars because the T boxes and greens were all frozen solid. Beautiful layout by the river
Lewis River continues to improve
Due to the cold weather our foursome pretty much had the course to ourselves. Wet conditions kept our carts only on the paths.
Compared to other courses we've played this time of year the fairways and greens were not too wet and mushy. Actually the greens were in good condition. However, the bunkers were packed down and there were no rakes around,. Rather than getting plugged some of our poor shots would bounce through.
We were impressed to see the maintenance crew working on improvements around the course.
Enjoyable Course
A really fun course with enough challenge to keep you paying attention. Friendly, helpful staff. The food in the restaurant is probably above average.
Probably won’t play here again
For the simple fact of the blue tee box on hole 13 I will probably not be playing Lewis river again. The blue tee box places you directly behind a large oak tree that takes up 3/4 the fairway and forces a good hit into the left rough behind more oak trees. Terrible design.
A great course!
I love playing Lewis River! I'm from Alabama and we have the Robert Trent Jones Trail, and I had rather play Lewis River. I look forward to my next trip to the PNW!!
Great staff and amenities!
The staff at Lewis River Golf is outstanding! Everyone is encountered was friendly and helpful. The restaurant staff was super and attentive to customers.
The course is in good condition and plays well. The greens are fast, but consistent. Fairways are well cared for and the rough is at a good length.
I only wish the cart paths were in a little better shape. But from when I played there 4 years ago, the course is vastly improved!!
Friday Slow Play
Had not played this course for several years as quality of the course had greatly depreciated. Course was sold and is in much better condition. Slow play was the real problem . Frustratingly there was a course marshal but never saw him counseling the slow groups. No sure what the purpose was of having the marshal.
Several holes have been changed in an effort to make the course more challenging.
Slow
Second time ever playing this course. Loved the course. Both times on a Friday were very slow. Maybe spread tee times out a little more.
