Great condition
Possibly the best semi-private course in the area. Course is well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Carts are getting a little wear on them but they are better than some. Love the layout of the course, you’ll get a taste of everything.
Good for this time of year
Always enjoy playing this course. It’s tough to maintain the fairways and greens this time of year but fhey were in pretty good shape. Lots of standing water from the 10 inches of rain in the past week. Give it a few more days without rain and it’ll be nice. Two of the greens were patchy in spots but for the most part, they rolled pretty even.
Great Value for a quality course
Northwood looks and is playing great after the rains. There are a few greens that are under repair and make putting challenging. Namely hole 8. Fairways have softened up as have the tee boxes. The back 9 is some of my favorite golf in the area. Elevated tee boxes and gorgeous, difficult greens.
Solid course overall
Only complaints are the dryness of the fairways and some of the greens are suffering from patches and repairs. Layout is great. We have just had extremely dry conditions last couple of months and the fairways are suffering.
Sunday Golf
You decide, Eat a GREAT Brunch before a late round or after an early round . Beautiful course and extremely friendly and helpful people. Beautiful holes and great contours .
GolfNow Tax Issues
Recently noticed tax was more for a lower priced hot deal versus the tax for a higher priced regular round. Instant messaged GolfNow and they couldn’t properly explain. They pushed it off on the course. So I went to the course and they stated they nothing to do with the website. Not sure where the answer is but taxes shouldn’t be higher for a lower priced tee time.
Best Public Course in the area!
This course was miles above all others in the area. There were some dead spots but we’re in a drought so who can blame them. The greens were very challenging and made for an excellent round.
Challenging but Fun
Great course, lots of wavy greens and hills. A good time.
Great Course...
I have been waiting for Northwood's repairs to the greens to take effect. They had lost them because a harsh winter and a bad greenskeeper (who's no longer there.) Great job getting it back in shape. Some bare spots in the fairways which is common here after the long hot summer, but overall the course is in great shape. I will definitely put it back on the list of courses that I play often.
Nice course
I had perfect timing, Free cookies and Red beans and rice ! 😋 . Sundays are great for fantastic noon food. Not overly crowded. Accessable greens and enjoyable experience.

I liked the course design although it could have been maintained better for the price paid .
Fun Course
The course was beautiful and well kept. The greens rolled true and were in good to great shape. Water, some tight fairways, and slope were challenging and fun. More signage for the proshop and how to get to a few holes would be appreciated. I really enjoyed it and will definitely play it again.
Love this course
Course offers Everything for all levels of players. Unlike some of the other nice courses in the area, these are good friendly people. Typical for NW Louisiana this time of the year, fairways are hard but proved to be an advantage for me this day.

Check in easy and friendly, bar is convenient and cart girl 😃 was great the last time I was there. Great putting, true roll. Friendly fairways. Comfortable distances .
Great experience
Took a 1st time golfer, other golfers were curtious (except for a 4-some I let play thru). This course never disappoints. Well maintained for the dry summer we’ve had. Friendly staff and cart girl made regular rounds.
Great potential
Challenging course. Greens are getting better. Fairways are still below average but a fair course for price
