They just want your initiation
Maybe you get invited by a member and enjoy a round on them, ok decent course for that.
Don’t pay a penny for this trash hole. They hide it behind private gates so you can’t see the fact that their groundskeepers course in Australia unfortunately burned down, and he’s been rebuilding it for more than a year. They don’t tell you that when you join as a member either. But here they are, cutting 100 year old shade trees down to try and save their horrible course. Nothing about this course is nice at all that you can’t find at 100 other public courses within 20 miles. I played it over 100 times. I play every day, and after 8 months I had enough hoping the conditions would stop getting worse and cancelled my membership. This place is trash.
Member guest rained out, horrible conditions before the rain.
Member guest at Mesa Country Club? That was supposed to be the kick off to an amazing year. What it actually was matched 2020 really well. This was in season, in the nicest golf atmosphere there is. This course apparently wasn't paying attention to that though. They had cracks in their greens, they had missing grass on their greens, literally a member guest took place with dirt showing on multiple greens. $500 they charged. Then it started raining, and they canceled the second day. They said we could have free rounds as guests, but most of us came from out of town, and I would never even waste a day of golf on a free round at this course again anyway. They must be private so that all of their problems don't get publicized.
Classic golf course, so much fun
This is a hidden gem in the East Valley. Played here for the first time back in October and instantly fell in love with the place. Charming is a great way to describe it with better food and amenities than many of the nicest courses in the area.
Course is fun and offers tiny greens that are well defended with subtle breaks and a ridiculous amount of trees on every hole. Play here a few times and every other course around feels wide open. Conditions are phenomenal year round, amazing staff taking care of the place.
All in all, you won't find a better value around as a guest or a member.
Hidden Gem
There is a reason touring pros and your web guys all play and practice here. Most people don't know its here and its an old traditional tree lined course in the desert. You can easily come out in the morning and shoot a score and play again after lunch and shoot 15 strokes higher. Pace of play is always good usually around 3.5 or less any more I would be shocked. In seasons greens get up to 12 or 12.5 even in the middle of summer they roll about 9.5 or 10
Love this place if you need a new place try here
As an existing member I can assure you we're glad that this member is gone. Mesa has multiple PGA Tour players as equity members plus a number of professional athletes. I won't name drop for their benefit. They like Mesa because it's fun and not a club filled with whiny stiff shirts like this reviewer. Buh, bye. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. You won't be missed.
That picture isn’t even of Mesa Country Club. Nice try though.
