North Golf Course at Sun City

About
Located just south of Grand Avenue in Sun City, Sun City North Golf Course's trademarks are the doglegs and large trees that are present throughout the course. It has many other challenges to offer including plush, elevated greens and numerous sand bunkers. Placid ponds also create water hazards that come into play on two holes. The well-maintained course is relatively flat with plenty of shade, making it enjoyable to walk. The Sun City North Golf Course facility has several amenities including a putting green and chipping area. There is also a fully stocked pro shop and full service grill and deli.

over 70 Don't walk
I am 79 and I chose to walk the course. Not a great Idea, it's kinda long for that. However, the course was in good shape, fairways a bit thin but the greens were good and pretty fast. Enjoyed the day and the ride on hole 18 from some sympathetic guy to get me back to my car.
Early Time
I love Sun City Courses. I felt rushed this time from staff even when I checked in 25 minutes early to warm up she wanted me to start now. I’ll never let anyone to that again for health reasons. Everyone body is different; other than that, I had a great pairing for the round to make up for the rushed experience. I’ll be back for sure.
Staff and Course was great!
Me and my son enjoyed playing here. Staff answered questions and was very helpful. Course was nice and fun to play on.
Better show up super early
I have never had such a terrible experience checking in at a club house. I walked in and said good morning, I have a tee time at 7:37. The cashier Bill did not say hi or good morning he sternly replied you’re almost late and none of your group has checked in and if they are not on time you’re not playing. Shocked, I pointed to his clock that read 7:10 and said ok we are not late though. The cashier responded passive aggressively, if you book with Golf Now you have to be here 15 minutes early. Again, I pointed to the clock and said we are 27 minutes early. He then stated are you going to argue with me? I was Shocked again, I stated no and that the others in party are coming in behind me and that I just seen them in the parking lot. I shook my head, paid and went out to my cart to load up in disbelief. I’m pretty sure Bill hates Golf Now bookings or people in general.
The other guys from my group came outside 5 minutes later and asked what the heck is that guys problem? He just chewed us out for “Almost being late and that we barely made, they stated we are not late! Bill told them if your going to argue your not playing.
Dumbfounded, We waited for the group in front us of to tee off blown away by what we just experienced.
If you don’t like your job Bill then find another! Treating people with respect and being courteous is how people like to be treated. You have no respect or customer service for that club house. All of us guys in our group are in our fifties and have been playing for 20 plus years and we have never had any experience in any club house like the one we had at this course. If you read the reviews for this course you will read that others have also complained about the way they were treated at check in.
We paid a little over $80 and the course was fun and in decent shape. There were some rough spots on the course but overall it was a good game of golf. It’s just a little hard to start your game being treated so rudely and poorly by this guy. Beware!
had to pay more for cart 18 than green fees 17 at 3pm informed them that all other courses in area cart fees were half off after 3pm didnt care also was informed that all carts were to be in at 6;15 when sunset was at 6;40 , the cart guy came out on hole 17 when we were just tee up and said was time to go in .we explained we would have been done if not for the slow group in front of us, at that time of 6;15 he agreed and kindly let us finish out which i tipped him for,
Staff very friendly.
Course in good hape, saff friendly, and pace of play was fast.
Great Value
Great Value and well laid out golf course. Decent Greens, bunkers with actual sand, room to hit the driver.
Needs water bad!!
greens were great, fairways we dry and rough is dirt. Have different cart rules for Golf now rates… Can’t play until sunset, carts must be in by 5:45, so be carful if you have a late tee time….
Horrible condition
Horrible condition. Too bad because the layout is very nice. Not sure why some Sun City courses are in nice condition and some are not. I would have thought one superintendent would oversee all Sun City courses.
