Good round at Riverview
Picked a good day to play Riverview. No fivesomes ahead of us and a a great pace of play. A bit windy at times. The course is in very good shape.
Great golf course
I love this course would give it overall 5 stars but the cart prices are very high compared to most courses!
Great course
Great course fun to play open fairways shoot my best round here.
Surprise charges
Booked our tee time on Golfnow.com that clearly says "cart included". Upon checking in, the guy behind the desk charged us another $18 each for cart fee. There was no bargaining with him. I even tried showing the word " cart included" in our booking, but he did not listen. To make matters worse, we had to play with 3 other people. The guy said 5some is a normal occurrence in their course. Never going to play again.
worth playing
My latest round at Riverview was a pretty strange experience overall, but I would not say it was bad. The course conditions are very uneven: the fairways and greens are in terrific shape, but if you are not on the fairway, you are almost certainly playing off of hard-packed dirt. Anyone who plays this course, also knows that the greens are very undulating with unfair pin placements (right on an incline on the green) one nearly every whole. The starter sends fivesomes and play can often be slow at Riverview, but my group was first off the back nine after a tournament and we played in under four hours. Staff was friendly and accommodating. An afternoon tee time of $50 is one of the cheaper deals at the valley this time of year, but not necessarily a real bargain for the course.
Very nice course
Staff was friendly , course was in good shape. Greens are undulating and challenging, lots of fun.
Course is in Good Shape
Enjoyed the round. Tee boxes level; fairways firm, though a bit thin; sand traps full with soft sand; greens firm, fast, and undulating. Easy walking course. Rough was dormant Bermuda grass, followed outwardly by bare dirt. Pace was good (3:50), as was value with Hot Deal.
Nice course new prices!!!
Good course tuff greens but they Jacked up their golf cart price from $8.50 per round to $18.50!!! Unless I walk I won't be playing here anymore!! I guess they don't want nonmembers to play here anymore!!! Sad!
Riverview
Excellent value, fairways and greens in good shape. Greens a little tricky with lots of undulations. Flat layout and quite wide in areas for errant drives. A few unique holes with #6 a sharp dogleg right and severe dogleg left on par 5 on back nine. Excellent course to Walk. Very little true rough, thin burned out grass.
Really like this course but…
Greens are super challenging, layout is mild but fun, distance is fairly short with multiple drive able par-4s for lower handicappers. I enjoy playing this course. But on behalf of all avid golfers, PLEASE STOP ALLOWING 5-SOMES! This has now been three times I’ve played this course behind a 5-some and the first two times it took me over 5 hours to play. This last time I had to walk off after 9 because it took us 3 hours to play the front. Get rid of the 5-somes and this easily becomes a ‘must play’ and even ‘must replay’ course.
FIVE SOME unheard of
Did not see lush fairways as advertised and five some slow down the game on front 9 with difficult pin placement and andulating greens will NOT come back
