Safe Haven to Escape To

Finally played this Southern Main course that I had been hearing about for years. The layout makes great use of the land that features a large hill behind the clubhouse. There are a few streams and ponds that come into play. The conditions are good enough, but by no means great. The greens were far from fast but putted very true. It is priced correctly and I walked it despite the hill that goes up numbers 1 ,3, 8 and 17, and down numbers 2, 4, 9 and 18. The staff, members and public golfers are very friendly and easy going. A very nice place to escape the crowds and have some fun.

Great Find

While on vacation from Boston in nearby Acton, I took a break from the family and found this course online. What a great find it was! I showed up during a bit of a lull in between groups and was able to fly through 18 in three hours. The course layout was great and kept in good condition. The greens rolled very true. A couple of the tee boxes could use a little TLC but overall it’s a great course. I would definitely recommend it to others

Nostalgic

Growing up I worked at this course and played it countless times so there was definitely a little bit of nostalgia. I played the back 9 at dawn to start the July 4th holiday so that side of the course was empty. Its a very walkable course.

Half of the holes have at least one side of the fairway lined with trees and the underbrush can be think. Some nice doglegs and short par 4s.

Great Course

Great course. Fun to play at a fair price. Very friendly staff. Course conditions compatible to high end courses. Greens are the BEST around. Challenging but yet fair.
