Indigo Creek Golf Club

About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Golf in December! Indigo Creek Photo submitted by Aldostin1 on 12/27/2019
First time indigo
We enjoyed playing at indigo, the course is tight and lots of water but if you can hit it fairly straight it's not too bad, the staff was very friendly and helpful
Course indigo creek
Good layout very slow play no starter to get teams together greens 25 % good grass rest bad hardly no grass
Fairway fair
Wouldn't play again for that price
Wrong Date
I did not play the course on the 17th. I am scheduled to play on the 22nd. Please refund the money taken to my credit card.
Great Course, good challenge.

Back nine needs a little work
Our foursome started on the back nine. Although the layout was ok, the course conditions were not so nice. The front nine was much nicer condition. Hopefully they can bring the back nine to a similar state.
Greens improving
Past regions were critical of the greens.I thought they were fine in most places!
Softer greens
The course was in decent shape, and most greens were rolling good enough to make puts. There are houses at risk on some holes and of course water hazzards.
Nice course, but not maintained
The course has a nice layout, but the greens are in poor condition at best. There are large areas of no grass on the greens at all and most of the cost is not maintained regularly. There’s no irrigation so this tremendous amount of dry spots. I played two days after it was raining and it was border in the sand traps.
Great course for the price.
The provides a great challenge for your average golfer..
Great course for beginners & budget conscious
Really enjoyed our time here. Way less attitude from staff compared to other places I've gone to in Myrtle. Course conditions were fine, it's true you get what you pay for and if you're not looking to blow up your credit card, this course makes for a great & fun day. Would recommend.
Get what you pay for
The course was in okay shape. Rough is still dormant so it was non existent not a factor. The greens were not very good. They were like concrete and littered with debris. You would think they'd invest in a blower to clean them off. You had to land 15 yards short of the green and let it run up to it otherwise your ball is going over the back. We were putting from off the green because a chip into the green meant it would roll off.
I would definitely play here again though. I'm hoping/thinking that in a month this course will be in much better shape when the rough gets green and starts growing again.
