White Heron Golf Club
About
White Heron Golf Club (formerly known as Ridgewood Lakes Golf Club) has had many accolades over its history and for good reason. The Ted McAnlis layout is sculptured from lush rolling land and features immaculate playing conditions year round. Water and natural wetlands come into play on 16 of our 18 holes and the resident breeze can significantly change the course from day to day. Yet despite the natural beauty and obvious pedigree of the layout, with four sets of tees the course is still enjoyable for golfers of all levels.

10th Tee Box Photo submitted by chadone75 on 07/05/2015
Interesting layout, average course conditions, friendly and
helpful attendants and nice practice facility.
Water water everywhere
It’s an ok course if you don’t mind losing a dozen balls.
Marinangeli Vacation
Fun, quick round and greens were in good condition
No discount for the locals
$100 plus dollars per person for this course in its current shape is outrageous
Greens need to be manicured and the area around the greens is like chipping off concrete
Tee boxes and fairways need to be watered I know we have not had a lot of rain but come on
As I mentioned before about the price, over charging because of the snow birds does not seem fair for the locals especially when we have paid a lot less for the same conditions
Until the price comes down or the conditions improve I will not be back.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club.
We noticed your review items were favorable towards the course yet the 2 star rating was a bit concerning.
We hope you'll try us again.
Thank you, WHGC
Tight !!
I was concerned reading recent reviews but we found the course in nice condition. Greens rolled true and were at a pace to make a bunch of putts. Unfortunately, no fault of the course, it was a super windy day and this course is tight and full of water and bunkers that are challenging on a calm day!! I know every course jumps prices this time of year but I would have really enjoyed it for a more reasonable price. If you spray the ball you may find this course frustrating. I was even at the turn but struggled with the cross winds coming in.
Underwhelmed for the price
Not worth $99 with Southern Dunes right down the street and 10 times the golf course.
Overall conditions were ok at best. Greens had some repair/sod work…and were unbelievably hard. Good, high wedge shots with plenty of spin would trampoline off of the greens and bounce 4-6 feet in the air.
The point I’m making is if you’re going to advertise yourself as a “shot makers” course…your greens have to live up to that and be able to hold shots.
Our group was all low single digit hcp’s and repeatedly felt like good shots wouldn’t hold.
Glad I played it so that I now know…but would be unlikely to return. This is a $50 golf course when in great shape…and there are too many other options that deliver better value and experience
Good Bones but looks like there are a bit of neglect
I had played this course a few years back. And I can't recall the course having issues with upkeep. It feels like the course lacks the funding to properly maintain course condition. I would say tor the money we paid, you can do better elsewhere.. Other places may cost a bit more but you'll get more for your money. Hope management can sink some money into this and not let the course die.
Not worth the $99 rate, should be 60 to $65.. Fairways and tee box in good shape but some greens have clover growing on them although you need to look closer as they are re-covered with some kind of green substance.
My view
Great course but too much water! almost every hole had a water hazard; too much.
Not worth $99.00
Fairways and tee box in good shape, greens have some clover growing (not good). Would be a great course at $60/65$ green fee...
Good value for the money.
The course was in great condition. The layout was good. The only criticism I would have, about this course is, that it is a bit tight and very challenging for a mid to high handicapper. The course has a lot of water and sand hazards. This is not a negative, just a FYI for the weekend golfer.
Very difficult!
With water on every hole and over 100 bunkers this is a shotmakers course. Play from the proper tees for your skill level! Beautiful design and while a challenge, fun to play. They did make the course less by changing the final hole to a short par 4 to add a practice area. Should have put that somewhere else.
Thank you for playing White Heron Golf Club, our prices are right in line with all of the other courses in the area, as a local you are more than welcome to purchase a White Heron Club card that would give you year round discounted rates or become a multi play pass holders. We feel that all players should enjoy the course at the same rate, including Visitors plus we keep our course in excellent playing conditions.
Thank you, WHGC
