Nice course
Greens little rough they weren’t mowing,getting ready to punch them,
2hrs to play 6 holes
Normally I am a fan of Oakwing. The course itself is nice. However, despite a huge sign next to #1 tee box staying no groups larger than 4 strictly enforced, might be true unless you are a member. I played to behind TWO groups of 5. It was so slow , literally took me 2 hrs to get through six holes. I decided to pick up and head to club house to request a rain check for 9holes. I asked to speak to a manager, and the 15 yr old kid told me no manager was on sight. Already knowing the outcome, I explained the situation to this child, who told me “members are allowed to play in groups larger than 4 and the course does not offer rain checks”
I’m happy to know that Oakwing membership is so strong that they do not value non member patronage. I am disgusted as I enjoy the course and play it whenever I get the opportunity (driving an hour from FT Johnson).
However, what happened on Saturday left a bitter taste and I don’t plan on going back to Oakwing.
Rain out
We only got 9 holes in due to a cold front/rain blowing in on us on #9. Would love to figure out how to get rain check on the last 9 holes we paid for.

Mud and GC repairs needed
Lots of construction between holes 11, 12, 17
a mess sink holes and 10ft deep holes I guess
piping repair. a Muddy mess.
Staff
Hands down the best staff I have come across, from the cart boy to the men at the counter. Yall have made my visit more then commemorative than most golf experiences.
Fast and smooth greens.
Greens and fairways were in great condition. Assigned cart path only to 1 hole instead of the entire course.
Great staff as always.
Awesome course. Management went out of the way to make a great experience. Would highly recommend for a great challenge of golf.
TAKE BUG SPRAY!
Awesome course. Fast greens. Prob my favorite course in this region. But the mosquitos will try to run off with you. And they’re almost big enough to succeed.
Great course layout
Very friendly atmosphere from the pro shop to the lounge!! Played a round with two members I met at the course.. Course was in great shape.. The greens are fast but true..
