Could no access the golf course. Left messages for the golf shop, no one returned the call. No play and no refund.
Base access denied
You need military base access To play on this course, and this has to be done in advance
Great 9 hole course ** Advanced access needed**
First- you need to call in before your first round to get a badge for future access. Once you submit the badge request it will be available in 24 hours and you can go pick up the badge to get access to the base right before your first round. You only need to do this once then you have access to the base and the golf course for the year.
Military base is large so can be difficult to find the course. If you follow the road you will eventually see a sign for the golf course. Again after your first visit will be easy to find.
Course was In great shape compared to other courses in the area. I played at 11am and was done with the 9 holes by 12:15p as there was no waiting on anyone else. The pace of play was fantastic and the staff was helpful. No signs everywhere saying cart path only or keep off this area or that area. Not many cart paths so you could travel all around to find your ball which helped pace or play. Wide open fairways but trouble on either side if you hit it right or left and the small greens proved challenging for club selection and shot decisions. Option to play 18 and 2 different sets of tee boxes to make the holes play different lengths/shots each 9.
For the price was a fantastic find and now that I have access I plan to play often.

Beautiful Course! Requires base access which was very easy to obtain. The staff is outstanding. They have new electric carts too.

Enjoy golfing here on weekly basis. Glad DoD opened course. Reasonably priced.
Excellent Golf course
Golf is very nice to walk or cart. Very convenient if you work on base or have access. Access to base is required but it is worth it to obtaining access.

River view is very nice course for a government facility. Worth trying out if you can get access to base.
Course conditions
Course has improved 100% from last year, greens look great. Pace of play was fantastic, no waiting. Well worth the money.
Much better in the area!
This course is available for only select people who have base access. All in all the course was in terrible condition. I say that strongly because for $10 more you can play courses 20 times better in this area... IE... Dauphin Highlands, Manchester, Deer Valley...
Do not waste your time here with the terrible greens and overgrown fairways.
