Camelback Golf Club - Padre Course

About
Arthur Hills designed the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club to deliver a fun round that's tough to forget. Trees tower, landforms show subtly, and bunkers improve your golf skills. The par-72 golf course measures 6,903 yards, and has gained its renown by offering a design that requires strategy.
A round of golf on the Padre Course at the Camelback Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 446 yards from the black tees. Things get long on the fifth hole, a par 5 that comes in at 553 yards from the black tees, one of four 500-plus-yard holes. The 18th hole is one of these: It's 547 yards from the black tee to the post-round celebration.
After your round on the Padre Course at Camelback Golf Club, head to the Golf Grill, serving U.S. cuisine and a fancy Sunday brunch in the style of Southwestern country clubs. There's also a luxury lounge where you can spend winters on the patio by the fireplace.

Love the course
Love this course for the visit
Fun, pretty simple, well kept.
Most employees are awesome there, but when I come in the shop the first minute and get reprimanded….
So I was proudly wearing new golf clothes shoes and a $150 t shirt on my 5 day golf trip.
I was almost instantly greeted wiith “we only allow collared shirts here”… not happy
I changed shirts into a low quality polo and as I was walking out of the bathroom, a young woman was walking to her cart in tiny shorts and BARELY a tank top on. While she was lovely it made me feel slighted in that I couldn’t wear a beautiful t shirt and expensive golf PANTS (not shorts or a tank top Lol) with new golf shoes and look better than most by the way….
Just a thought.🤨
Thanks for reading.

Challenging layout!
Course was fairly well groomed. Great layout. Ok tees, greens and fairways. Approaches were weak. And, for big sand traps please invest in more rakes!
Excellent golf and service
Wonderful course and the service was excellent. Play this course!
Nice track
First time playing, great mix of parkland and desert golf. Everything from the checkin, range, 1st tee starter, on course beverage and club cleaning was great. Will definitely come play here again. The only slight is the greens are very grainy and putting can be a challenge, make use of the green reader function on their GPS system.
Camelback - Padre
Yesterday, my buddy and I teed it up at Camelback’s Padre Course under a perfect midday sky, and let me tell you—this place delivers an experience, not just a round of golf.
From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The cart assistants had everything dialed in, and Bob, the player assistant, made us feel like we belonged there. It set the tone for what turned out to be an effortless, uninterrupted round, which is a rare find these days.
The course conditions? Phenomenal. The greens are soft but roll true, rewarding a good read and a confident stroke. The fairways are manicured to perfection, with a clear first cut that frames each hole beautifully. No overgrown rough, no patchy lies—just pure, fair test of golf. And the bunkers are actual real sand, not the hard-packed dirt traps you find at lesser courses.
But what really makes Padre special is the way it challenges you. The course offers just enough length, hazards, and strategic shot-making demands to keep you engaged from start to finish. It never feels unfair, but it always makes you think. Every tee shot has a purpose. Every approach demands precision.
And then there’s the Arizona backdrop. Perfect weather, stunning scenery, and that feeling of escaping the chaos of everyday life—just you, the course, and the next shot.
If you’re in the area and haven’t played Camelback Padre, do yourself a favor and book a round. It’s a course that respects your time, challenges your game, and leaves you walking off already planning your next visit.
Not a Value Course
The course was in fair condition, but the greens were fuzzy and slow. There was no restaurant open for breakfast (apparently only on the weekends). For $300 we expected more of a private course experience. This was at best an average muni course experience.
