Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course

About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Great layout
I love this course favorite parts is when it's gets into the woods away from houses greens were great fast but not super fast
Beautiful course, unpleasant sprinklers
The course is top notch, few areas of repairs but not enough to grip about. We had an amazing value due to a last minute GolfNow booking. I did find it very unpleasant and borderline rude that we were on pace of the course and the last 5 holes we had to play through their sprinklers on and being drenched. Knowing we were out there, the right thing would be to time them after your last round of golfers. Great course besides that.
Great course for the money
Played as a single, third time playing and was in great condition
Cart locks itself in wrong place
They have these green signs to tell you when to turn off to the cart path. BUT before that or beyond that on the rough the cart locks and you have to backup - you get no warning because it does that nowhere near the signs. WORSE yet you back up then head to the cart path and it keeps locking up and will NOT let you go to the cart path. I will NOT play here again
Great Course
Booked on GolfNow, beginning of August in Central Florida we had the place to ourselves. Great condition, great layout, very fun course to play. Will be playing again next time.
Awful
Awful condition of course, including fairways cart paths and hole conditions
Absolutely NO WATER ON COURSE with one beverage cart we did not see till 13/14
no rain checks given for thunderstorms and torrential downpours with pooling water on the course
What’s all the hype about?
75$ on a Saturday in the summmer. This place is not worth 40$ let alone 70+. Nor is it worth the gas money it takes to get there. . Greens hasn’t been mowed all week. There’s sandy patches in the middle of most fairways and greenside areas. If it’s not sandy, then it’s the Open type rough looks like it hasn’t been touched since th me course opened in the 90s.
Didn’t see the cart girl until hole 11.
Maybe all the money is going to the campeon course???
Carts were the nice , and the layout was ok.
Awesome time
Course is in excellent condition. Staff is super friendly. Challenging but playable.
Awesome course will definitely play again and can’t wait to play El Campion or however you spell and say it.
Las Colinas was in great shape.
Beautiful Country
Definitely not Metro golf. Secluded Beutiful country.. bunch of wild turkeys walking around. Greens were good for Florida summertime . Nice folks , friendly guest. Good pace. And tuff from back tees.
Overall Nice
We paid 9$ for 40 range balls. A little steep in my opinion. There were no greens to practice on. There were only the chipping greens but they were filled with holes and sand so it was not good to practice on. Fairways and rough were decent . Greens are healing from recent aeration and were rolling decent but inconsistent. Front nine rolled faster than the back nines . The ball rolled fast enough at times but would slow down to a halt 6 inches from the hole. Was Really hard to figure out the speed of the greens . The other complaint were some holes had tree branches hanging partially into the fairways or tee boxes so you have to be accurate with your shots or you would hit the branches. There were lots of bugs as well so bring your bug spray. Course is challenging and we will come back to try again when the greens roll better.
Fantastic fairways
Fairways were perfect. Greens still good despite being punched a week or so ago.
First time
Took advantage of discounted rate to play Los Colinas for the first time. Greens were just punched and already starting to grow back, so not too bad. Played the white tees almost 6300 yards on the card. Course played way shorter, not sure why they pushed the tees up. 3 out of 4 par threes played 150. I found myself using the same clubs on each hole. Overall an interesting layout. Be prepared, no drinking water on the back nine.
