Another great Disney golf round
This was our second time playing this course and once again, we had a blast. Lucked out and barely beat the afternoon thunderstorms, so I highly suggest a morning tee time during summer. Played on a Sunday, and surprisingly the pace of play was excellent, and the hot deal price was very fair. Service was great both in clubhouse and on course. Word of caution: slicers hit into the driving range from the first tee box once in a while lol. Also, you need to get range balls from the guys who handle the carts next to the pro shop. I highly recommend playing any of the Disney courses.
Outside Staff needs to reflect a bit
Check in was fine however, the included bucket wasn't quite enough (put small bucket in cart) . Went in, paid for a medium and came out with a receipt. Handed it to a guy with brown hair (late 40s, early 50s), he asked if I got included bucket, Yes. I said wanted more so I paid for another medium bucket. He then asked if I was going to hit them all because he didn't like people leaving balls out on the range. I wanted to throw them at him and leave. Guy at first tee, asked if I was a single, Yes. I have to combine you in a cart. I said ok, went to grab my stuff. Instead of swapping the coolers, he grabbed my 3 waters, from under the ice, walked them over to other cooler and then grabbed a couple handfuls of ice and walked it over. I asked, wouldn't have been easier to just switch the coolers? Geez. I went on to play a good round and bought a hat.
Great Round
Although some courses in the central and Tampa area have been dryer due to lack of rain, Disney and APGM have kept their courses in great conditions that you can enjoy.
Disneys 3rd best course
Nice layout but not as good as conditions as the other 2 Disney courses.
Still worth playing but should be cheaper than Palm and magnolia.
Layout awesome but..
Awesome layout but the overall quality of the course was just OK. Tee boxes were bad, greens pretty good, fairway not great. Driving range, horrible
Course was in great shape even with the lack of rain in the area, greens were a little inconsistent but rolled good. It was a great start to the trio of Disney courses
Very poor condition for Disney
Was excited to play LBV again, bud sadly it was seriously disappointing.
Firstly - our tee time was to tee off in the dark… stupid.
Greens were in awful awful condition so pubs were placed a yard or 2 from corners of greens - seriously we are amateurs … I realize it’s to help the greens recover but it was setup so badly.
Course was saturated with overwatering - again, it was early but every shot was played in standing water - yes we did move balls but just to a less wet patch.
All round not worth $75 let alone $150.
Hawks Landing - same price, was in great condition.
Not used to this poor quality from a Disney course.
Not the greatest place on turf
Very disappounting, expected so much more.
The welcome was excellent , but the quality of the greens was a real letdown
Patches of the green were coloured green to try and cover bald patches. The greens were slow and not true
Not the most magical place on turf
Great welcome from staff, but unfortunately the rest of the experience did ot match it
Tees were tired , uneven and patchy
Fairways and bunkers were in great condition
But the greens were really poor. The looked bad , had patches sprayed green to hide the bald bits.
To be fair they putted better than they looked ,but were not what you would expect at a Disney course
Have always enjoyed playi g LBV,but am afraid to say will ot be in a rush to return.
Southern Dunes at Hanes city is a far better course and in much better condition
4.75 stars
Staff was super friendly (as they should be bc it’s Disney). Plenty of hydration (5th and 13th ice machines) and saw beverage cart twice during the round. Little disappointed in pace of play (5 hour round) but the course was in superb shape. Only knock I have is the price. I have played better courses for a better deal. $184 was about $50 too much.
Expensive
Very expensive. Other nearby courses are in as good if not better shape and are a fraction of the cost.
Ok day
The condition of the course is ok. Needs a little attention. Weather was great. Pace of play ok. There are several other courses in the area that are a fraction of the cost and in just a good if not better condition.
