Warm up round
Good Golf Course at a Great Price ,across from the airport! Exactly what We were Looking for! Friendly Staff ! Was an AirForce Course, had a Nice sign on every hole Honoring Air Force Legends !
Not Bad
Pretty nice course. Clearly popular with the locals. Fairways nice. Tee bows average. A few of the greens are still recovering but overall. Not bad.
Nice course for the Money
Played this after it being recommended as a hidden gem in plain sight. I'm an Air Force veteran and they gave me a discount for that, which is nice considering this is the old Myrtle Beach AFB course. Overall it was in good condition even though it had rained really well the prior two days. The greens rolled true, the fairways were well kept and the tee boxes were also in good shape. Watch out for the fox squirrels, they'll steal food out of your cart and they aren't scared of you. Overall it was good and I hope to play it again.
Too much for to little.
I would not play here again. The course was not well maintained. The course for 45 with a cart is worth it, we payed 67.
Whispering pines
The course layout is very good, fairways and greens are in relatively good condition, the tee boxes not so much and the bunkers looked like they were not groomed in a week. We were held up by foursome and eventually there were 2 groups behind them waiting on the tee. Course marshal only sen once but did not leverage the group to speed up play, refreshment cart was only seen once. The group in front did not have very good course etiquette which unfortunately only compounded the issue.
Awesome, except for a few greens
Overall, this is a good value, especially in April when most courses raise their prices for the season. The only problem is with some of the greens. About a third of the greens have large bald areas and some weed infiltration. Otherwise, the course is in really good shape.
I Will Be Back
Had a great day with my first time playing this course. Staff was gracious and friendly. Course was in good shape, the greens need a little bit more work, as some had too much sand in spots, and bare areas. If I had one complaint, it was the very very slow play, with no Marshal in sight, almost 5 and a half hours to get done, and 25 minutes passed original tee time.
Departure Round
Played Whispering Pines on the way out of Myrtle Beach at the end of a four-day golf trip. Course was in good shape and enjoyed the round. There was a threesome in front of us that really struggled to keep pace with the group ahead of them, so the front nine was slow. We played through at the turn and had five open holes before encountering anyone.
For the price, this is a great value.
Good conditions
Nice course.. Slow pace of play. Would play again.
Golfing Whispering Pines
Really enjoyed golfing this course! Nice long fairways and some challenging par 3s! It was very busy and pace of play was fine till last 4 holes, which took our overall time well over 4 hours, going close to 5 hours. Regardless, would play again! Starter was very welcoming and entertaining!
