About
The Oaks Golf Course in Madison is one of the area's most popular public courses. It offers a unique layout that is heavy on the par 3s. There are six of them along with five par 5s and nine, rather than the usual 12, par 4s. At just over 6,700 yards, the course is somewhat long but still manageable. The course features bentgrass greens, tees, and fairways that give it the feel of a country club course but also the friendly, casual atmosphere that comes with a public course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and there are also areas of thick rough where you will be sure to lose some balls if you're not careful. In addition to the golf course, the Oaks also has a two-level grass tee short-game area that is equipped with practice bunkers and an expansive double-tiered putting green.

Nice conditions
The layout makes it challenging with the wind. Difficult club selection on some holes where the wind is blocked by the terrain and trees. Conditions and pace of play are usually very good. A bit pricey for Madison area, lots of other choices that are just as good for less. The clubhouse is outstanding for after the round. Great food and drink.
Great golf course!
I really enjoy playing at this course. It has great holes and has great grass. I love the carts that have GPS and tell you yardage and how far your drive was. The driving range is very nice. The ground is soft and has a nice feel. To top it all off, the food there is great! The only thing I do not like about the course is the wind. Usually it is windy in the morning, but calms down later. Overall it is a great place to play!
Nice course
Greens were aerated, however course was in great shape as usual.
