Drumpellier Golf Club

About
Located just east of Glasgow, Drumpellier Golf Club sits at the west end of Coatbridge. Since opening in 1894, it has become one of the area's most treasured courses. The layout is challenging but it's still player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. The golf course's has a memorable finish, ending on two of its best holes. The par-4 17th is just 270 yards, giving big hitters the opportunity for a grand finish by reaching the green from the tee. Those who don't want to take the risk can play it safe and aim for the fairway. Drumpellier Golf Club's final hole, another par 4, tumbles downhill across slopes ranging from subtle to dramatic. Be careful of running out of the fairway or you'll face an even tougher approach to the well bunkered green.

Drum
Still no mats needed and all normal greens which is pretty good for time of year. The course itself was decent and would definitely play again in the summer months.
Condition
Barring a few good holes, I didn’t enjoy the course layout for the most part. I was particularly disappointed to find some of the greens had been cored and treated which had I known, I definitely wouldn’t have played. £31 paid was not value for money and overall a below par experience.
Very nice condition after all the rain weeks before. Will return again
Didn’t get to play full course
I missed out on 6 holes this course as it wasn’t playable due to weather .Think I should be paid back money as I missed out on a 1/3 of the course and if I was to pay through the pro shop it would have only cost me 15 pp but it cost me 25 pp I think I am owed money could u let me know about this
Course condition was very poor
Booked a tee off time and was told by staff that a couple of winter greens were on and to play off mats. This turned out to be 10 winter greens and the course was complete saturated. To be completely honest the course should probably not have been open with the condition. The condition was surprising as the weather had not been that bad recently. So this gives me concern about the overall drainage of the course.
Course itself was ok, no real iconic or memorable holes. Bit disappointed overall
Waste of Money
Showed up on time to be told only hole 1 to 7, 17 and 18 were open. Hole 7 was unplayable. The course should have been shut. Also it was temporary greens which we were not advised of when booking. Absolute rip off at £30 per person.
Cracking Course
First time I’ve played and enjoyed my round.
Greens were very sandy but good condition. The sand did make the speed vary on green to green.
Fairways were really good.
Upgrades being done to the clubhouse which made the first tee box noisy at times
5 holes not allowed to play!
Paid £68.94 for 3 balls, and 5 holes not allowed to play, plus another 3 Winter greens. Almost end of April.
Gold now should mentioned it whilst make a booking, a bit rip off.
Such a shame a a very nice course.
Can’t play full 18
Booked to play full 18 cost me and my mate £25 each phoned up to double check we could play due to the rain being bad and was told that you can only play holes 1-9 and 15-18 which was a bit confusing because it doesn’t tell you that on this app or on there website so we paid £25 for 13 holes half of which were winter greens in the middle of April going into may but the condition of the course was class and definitely will play the FULL 18 in the summer !
Waste of money
We arrived at the pro shop to check in to be told that we had to play off matts on the fairway which was fine, charged £6 per mat which I think was a joke given this was never disclosed when placing the booking. We were then told that only holes 1-7 and 17-18 holes were open and all of which were on temporary greens. When I asked why they said the whole course is waterlogged and these were the only ones playable. Hole 7 was fenced off and totally waterlogged so it was only 8 holes out the 18 and even at that were a poor 8 holes. If the course is like this then it should have been closed instead of charging £30 per person to play. I’ll not be back!!!
