dungannon gc

great round at dungannon this afternoon, course in great condition for the time of year after a couple of mild weeks. no winter mats yet, just one temp green on 4th as they are working on the green there. greens were in great shape. plenty of ongoing work around the course, alot of bunkers getting reworked etc. staff all friendly, great value for money. will definitely be back

Great course, great value

A great day at Dungannon GC. First time playing this course and the greenkeepers had it top condition from tee to green. Plenty of blind tee shots which made for some tricky decisions and conservative play but made up for it with some brilliant down hill open holes inviting the biggest of driver swingers. Great to see so many youngsters on the course and really friendly members.

Closed

I booked the course the day before play. Got there only to see the sign at the gate CLOSED. Even the shop was closed. No forewarning. Two very disappointed people. I’m never booking through GolfNow again. This is the second time in a week. No refunds. Phoned them and they said that they would call back. Nothing.
Not good enough.

Difficult day.

Difficult day. Windy and rain at times. Fairways were fine but parts of the rough was really soggy. Still enjoyed my round.

This course has some distinct holes

Although this course has some distinct features, many of the holes are played using blind shots with the use of a bell as a warning. Unfortunately, we picked a day after the greens had been heavily sanded and aerated, which made putting more of a lottery than normal.

Temporary Greens

First time playing Dungannon after hearing soo much about it being a nice course to play, very excited, great first tee shot! Playing up to the green? What green? Temporary greens in place for winter maintenance, no prior mention of this before booking on the app, played down to the first and was TRYING to putt on what was semi rough. Really disappointed, left after the first hole after being told all the holes where like this. Asked about maybe getting a chnace to play again sometime but no one was there to help with that.0

One of the best in the area

Great course, handles rain pretty well and has some nice challenges and variation.

Quite a forgiving course off the tee, plenty of room to work with if you aren’t always accurate. But still remains challenging in places with water and bunker hazards well placed. Great value for money when you look at how well maintained it is!

Short par 5’s

Great wee course really enjoyed the round. The course seems ideal for those who don’t have great distance in there shots. All par 5’s are mailable in two if your driving the ball 240-270yards. The course was a good test of mid irons for me with four or five while bringing water into play. It’s a hilly course but generally your playing straight up and down the hills making its little more easy. Would certainly go back and play. Course maybe not kept quite as well as other local courses but certainly a well managed course suitable for all handicaps.

Great course great conditions always tricky to play..hard to find a flat part of the ground either The ball is below or above feet definitely testing your iron play..

Only downfall was the shop was not open on arrival to try get a buggie for ones I was out with. Tee of was 5:12 on a Saturday I thought it would’ve been open myself otherwise I would’ve tried to pre book buggie by ringing the course ahead of tee off.

Really enjoyed my round and will be back again in the near future.
