Ballamor Golf Club

About
The18-hole track at Ballamor Golf Club is renowned for its usage of the naturally hilly course in its layout. Brian Ault, the designer, utilized the natural terrain and thick forestry and also added subtle modern and traditional touches to create a unique golfing experience.
The golf course doesn't feature any "signature" hole, but each hole is different from the others and they employ the use of almost every type of golf shot. As a composition, the 18 holes create a course that is both challenging and fun. The course also has five sets of tee boxes. Another distinguishing characteristic of the course is its "go out and stay out" philosophy and layout. The golfer starts near the Clubhouse but doesn't end until the 18th green. This allows for a faster game and there is also a halfway house for refreshments.

Nice Layout in poor condition
I played Ballamor a few years ago. It was in great shape and a nice challenge.
Unfortunately, last week it looked like the course had been neglected. Lots of brown spots and weeds in the fairways. Tee boxes were full of weeds. There was some excuse about not wanting to kill the weeds because they were growing grass, but it didn’t look like that. It just needed work, especially to justify the $95 price.
Solid Course
Played here for the first time, solid and challenging course. In pretty good shape, not amazing. Decent amount of crab grass here and there. Good layout - I would play here again but I didn't find it to be anything spectacular. Bunkers and water everywhere. Excellent finishing hole.
Fun course
First time playing here. Weather was cooperative and we had a great time. The course is in very good shape and very interesting and challenging holes. The greens were in great shape. The speeds were not consistent , some slow and some fast. There is a halfway house where we got hot dogs and gateraide. The hot dog was good. Over all the pace of play was good and took us about 4:20 to finish. We waited on a few holes but otherwise played straight through. I would recommend this course . Many different tee boxes to decode where you want to play from. Overall a very good experience.
Because 3.5 stars wasn’t an option, I rounded up.
Played on a Tuesday, was a bit surprised that it’s still $100 for 1pm time.
The condition was a definitive “good” nothing overly special but not a disappointment.
The range balls should be put out for this price point and they need a refresh, they are well beaten.
You play a couple of holes then it’s a haul to next tee, which makes the course pretty much un-walkable. I prefer to walk and was lucky that it wasn’t cart path only that day. I hate the back and forth to cart, only to realize you have the wrong club from the 3 you dragged out with you.
Nice cart gal, very friendly and nice half way house since you don’t return to clubhouse at 9 green.
I would come back, all things considered, 2 items for management to ponder, lower the weekday fee and the range balls.
Too many young inexperienced staff.
I booked as a single. Was put with a threesome.
Young kid showed up after me and they sent him out as single and another person after I teed off went out as a single. Also asked some questions in the pro shop and no one knew any answers. This i my favorite course to play. But the staff is young and in experienced. Very disappointed.
A pleasure
Wide fairways and large greens made for a fun round. Some interesting and challenging holes were there too. Great condition and smooth greens. I want to go back
Great course, but limited atmosphere
As a golfer, you will enjoy the well maintained course which is very long, wide and fun to play (a lot of bunkers to challenge you). Maybe it was the rain on a Friday afternoon, but the place was quiet. Twosome in front of us and twosome behind us. A bit slow with the twosome in front of us backing us up, but still played in four hours. I just want a lively environment as part of the overall experience There was nobody around when we finished. Carts were a bit old. Not 100 percent sure why this place is top rated course in the area. I played Harbor Pines and seaview, and I feel they are better.
Pretty good
Course in very good shape, would have been 5 star except for pace of play. Group in front of us was very slow, a ranger said something once but never followed up. Cart path only because of heavy rain the night before contributed to the pace of play, but the course dried out fairly well in most places.

Awesome!
My wife loves Ballamor so much.
We were so busy to play golf and take pictures together. I strongly recommend this course than Atlantic City Golf Course for couples.
Havent played this course in a number of years, and I cant believe what my group was missing out on. We were down in Atlantic county for the annual trip. I try to book courses that fall under below the $60 range, so this course is normally well out of price range. Got a golfnow deal, and except for the typical midweek slow play by one group that slowed up all, this was the best course of the trip. Teeboxes, Fairways and Greens were all in fantastic shape
