Golf pro was a great guy friendly and helpful
Course was pretty good
I was imprest
Far better than i remembered
Disappointed
Paid for 18 holes, but when I arrived was told the back 9 was closed. I asked if I could play the front 9 twice but was not allowed. Wasn’t offered anything in the way of compensation for the closed holes.
Course and facilities were good. During the winter you need to take a fairway mat.
Lovely golf course
Great course great condition and well looked after .
Northop credit to green keeping staff
Been a member here off and on for over 25yrs.can honestly say best I've seen it in years.Greens are immaculate, decent sand in all the bunkers.Greenkeeping staff best that's beeb there, thanks boys.cheers Rob Roberts.
Will be back again
Good course, well maintained and a nice clubhouse with good facilities. The layout of the course is a little confusing the first time you play as the front 9 is in between a number of properties but well worth a trip
Par 5 uphill 550 start
So this is the second time I have played this course I'm a 30 handicap golfer been playing just over a year & when I played this in June I shot around 110 I had a 10 on hole 1 & then played some ok golf & done the same a 10 on hole 8 so my head went so I come back yesterday for a rematch & left driver in the bag and shot my best over round a 91 the hole 1 I was dreading all morning and hit 5 hybrid and hit the fairway be careful on the right as houses close in some holes front 9 the course was in good condition fairways bunkers and greens some tee boxes looked a little rough if your picky but yeh i paid £21.99 on golf now & was happy and would do this again one thing i think some greenstaff could give a little more space i had a guy cutting behind me & felt pressured but overall would recommend & play again .
Great course, and great condition, moss on 2 greens but other than that brilliant 👌
Brilliant Day
Course is in fantastic condition and greens are brilliant and true.
Back to Northop.
Some obvious improvements in the course. Glad to see it has recovered well from the wet weather earlier in the year.
Excellent Course, questionable staff member
Course was in superb condition and 99% of the staff were very welcoming. It was unfortunately ruined by someone (unsure as to who he was) approaching on a cart, with a loose dog, very aggressively telling us to allow the 2 ball behind us to play through. For context we were waiting on the tee, as were they, as were a 2 ball in front of us on the par5. ordinarily if we are holding up, we would invite them to play through, however they would have played through to be met by further hold ups (this was on the 15th). It turns out they were playing a knockout. they had not asked to play through so they were a little embarrassed at the actions of this man. He was rude, did not say “please or thank you” once and acted as though it was obvious we should have let him play through. Luckily it wasn’t my first visit to this golf course so I know this was a one off. if anyone from the club is reading this, I suggest they tell this man that some manners when making requests wouldn’t go a miss and to change his tone from that of a frustrated substitute teacher to that of someone who is representing the club he is involved with.
Northop tri
The staff were very helpful when we arrived; we have visited quite a few times over the years.
The course itself was in outstanding condition; fairways were a pleasure to play off and the greens were in fabulous condition.
A really good days golf.
Thanks all at Northop GC

Four of us decided to play the course, as our course had a local competition taking place. We found the course in excellent condition, the greens in particular. The staff were very welcoming and made our visit most enjoyable.
Great Day
Course is in fantastic condition and greens are perfect.
Couldn't ask for better.
Still a bit wet
Course still a bit wet and very soft in parts.
Greens are very good though.
Northup

Unplayable conditions
I can only judge this course on what I found on the day. Played this course for the 1st time as part of the Gateway to Wales golf festival in May 2024 Due to heavy rain during the week the course was closed Thursday open for 12 holes on Friday and completely open on Saturday. The 1st nine holes had obviously suffered from the heavy rain eg bunkers completely full of water waterlogged sections etc. what I didn’t know was that this was the best part of the course. The back nine was like a scene from the Somme - mud water saturated ground. So bad that there was 2 feet deep puddle on a fairway with ducks swimming in the rainwater and losing balls in the deep floodwater. In my opinion the course was in an unplayable condition and should never have opened for 18holes. I realise that to cancel the competition it would cost the club money but it would have been wiser to play front 9 twice or restrict it to 9holes.
Someone has to take responsibility in allowing the course to open in deplorable conditions.whether it is the golf club or Gateway to Wales organisers but it certainly did not enhance the reputation of golf in Wales which resulted in some very unhappy golfers who are unlikely to return to this course
Still had a good day.
Probably like most courses - still a bit wet in parts.
Bit disappointed that all tees were still off mats which shortens most holes.
