About
Ravenwood Golf Club is situated in the Finger Lakes region in western New York. It's one of the most popular public championship courses in the Rochester region. Robin Nelson designed the course in 2002. He utilized the gently undulating landscape to seamlessly connect the holes to one another so that the whole golf course has a natural flow. The front nine is gentler than the back, where the par 3s present formidable tests. The water hazards on the back are particularly challenging. The golf course finishes with one of its most memorable holes. Ravenwood's par-5 18th has a green that's tucked into the woods with the hill behind it forming a natural amphitheater. A challenging array of seven strategically placed bunkers guards the green and approach area.

Solid course in solid condition. A little more expensive compared to other courses in the Rochester area. If you haven't played it, you should.
Classy country club style
It’s a great layout. Many levels off tee choices. It’s pricey so I go for special occasions. Staff are somewhat friendly, young kids are great in shop and bag room
Weekday golf for $55 is a steal
No hot deals or discounts and this gem of a course was $55!
I’m from NJ but was on a weekend trip to see my brother in law so I found myself on this course. Apprehensive at first bc if the price but when I got there I couldn’t believe the shape this course was in. I’m NJ this course is costing you $125 on the weekend/$80 on a weekday. If you haven’t played here yet, you must go and play. Challenging greens and long layout. I am a turf professional and couldn’t find anything wrong with the maintenance. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Great Layout & Conditions other than the greens
Greens are burnt out... but at least they are up front about it on their website and are doing cheaper rates. Other than that its first class. Great layout and conditions. Don't think they prepared for the drought that well and were't watering the greens enough.

Challenge
One of the finest courses to be found anywhere. Each fairway a challenge to your club selection. With fairway bunkers throughout the course you are challenged to keep your shots near the middle of the fairway. Scenic views on every fairway. Nice clubhouse with friendly staff

One of the Best in Rochester
I play Ravenwood multiple times each season and the conditions and layout is one of the best in Rochester. That being said the round I am reviewing had a slight negative. We purchased a 4:30pm Hot Deal, no one was on the front 9 when we started so we were going at a great pace. Then all of a sudden once we hit the back 9 there were 3+ groups suddenly ahead of us. I am assuming since we were playing so late in the day they sent off people on the back. Which is fine but to jam that many groups when they knew our pace/where our cart was kinda made me angry. It made for a slow back 9 when we should have had little to no one ahead of us.

Ravenwood2019
This was my first time on the course. There were enough challenges for a duffer like me but easy enough to keep most of the balls in play. The greens were in great condition and mostly flat. Tee boxes were well kept and level, been on too many that were tilted or crowned. Can't wait to play there again. The staff was great.

Fun challenging golf
Fun and challenging. Many tee box options gives on the opportunity to play to your abilities. Greens were nice and each hole was distinctive and a pleasure to play.
