Reviews
In good shape for late summer
The course is in good shape for late summer. The rough was a bit tall on a few holes, but not too tall. The fairways were all pretty good. The greens rolled nicely. There are no coolers on the carts, but there are water/ice stations at the 1st/9th hole. (no cups so bring your own). They are renovating the restaurant/bar area next to the Pro shop. There is a fence which goes all the way around this area. Park closer to the Pro shop and the traffic circle for easier access.
Nice Track
Greens are slow but to be expected for this time of year.
Not For Average Age Golfers
I've played here alot with my father-in-law, but felt compelled to share my experiences after a recent round.
First thing. The course IS as it looks online. It's usually in good shape and generally is picturesque.
As for enjoyable, if you don't live here, you aren't 65+ y.o, or you aren't a 20+ handicap, this place is going to drive you crazy.
The pace of play is extremely poor all the time and the staff/other golfers typically ruin every round I play here, one way or another.
On a recent round when we played in an afternoon shotgun (A/B on every tee), the group behind us was yelling and hitting into us because we didn't want to tee off while the group in front of us was still 250 yards out.
For anyone experienced in typical muni or resort golf, this place IS NOT THAT. This is a retirement golf course.
The staff and other golfers will take every chance they get to preach to anyone under the age of 65 on anything from where to park your golf cart, to what side of the driving range to use.
On a recent 4.5+ hour round, I decided to use some of the time between the groups to hit a few practice chips, and someone literally CAME OUT OF THEIR HOUSE to tell me practicing was not allowed. (The group behind was 2+ holes back)
That is the pervasive feeling of this place. It's a bunch of curmudgeons just waiting to "teach that young person a lesson". If you think you can get around in less than 4 hours and don't mind having some retired grade school principle commenting on everything you do, it's not bad for the money. If you're looking for a relaxed, on pace round, DON"T PLAY HERE.
p.s. If you were to show up 20 minutes before your tee time and ask for a token from the range to get loose, you will be denied. That is apparently not enough time to drive to the range and make it to your tee time.
Fun course !
Fun course great layout and greens you can’t complain about! Hard to find the entrance and the clubhouse but once we found it the staff guided us very well!
Tuscany Falls Again
The day was great and the course was in pretty good shape. They were getting ready for over seeding I think because they had mown some places down really low. Still a great day. Really like playing it when the price is right.
Tuscany Falls East
A great day on the course. It was in great condition even though they are getting ready to overseed. Another good time on the course.
Boring
I found this course to be incredibly boring. Each hole is basically the same; generous fairway with one bunker on each side and a bunker around the green. Greens were super slow and had some cuts in them. They seemed to put the flags in the only burnt/cut areas of the greens. No cart girl and the food service on the turn was very slow, we waited 10 minutes before giving up. Better options nearby unfortunately.
Good Round
We played late in the afternoon so there was hardly anyone on the course. Pace was excellent. Only saw one group ahead of us and they kept moving whenever they saw us. Fairways were in pretty good shape. Greens were odd. They were kind of slow, but not always. The rough was a bit long and would grab the club. Not always easy to get out of.
Cart Return
This course has excellent practice facilities. They have a couple of very large putting greens, a chipping green and a large range all of which was in excellent condition. We played after it had rained the night before so the course was a wet. The tee boxes and fairways were very green and in great condition. My only issue was that if you rented a cart you must return it by 5:00 PM. The Pro shop and Cart guys were very insistent about this. Since the course plays longer than 4 hours it means that any tee time after 12:15 pm may not be able to finish. There were plenty of extremely slow players out there who do not care what-so-ever if they are causing a slow down behind them.
Great course
First time Playing it and I am loving it.
Can’t wait to return
Great layout
Great layout to keep the pace of play moving.
The greens were a little sticky, but that was probably due to oveeseeding.
Will be playing again soon!
Terrible Service
Played here lots of times.. great track usually great shape and a good time.. we booked an 8 am tee time and upon arrival were told there’s a frost delay and we’ve been moved across the street to eagles nest course.. we went not having ever played it.. the two courses cannot even be compared... we went back and complained because it was absolutely not fair to switch us on a terrible course and still charged the same.. the guy in the pro shop said we were lucky they didn’t cancel our tee time and we got to play something.. what?.... Tuscany itself is a good course but you can’t just book out tee times then put everyone on a dirt track because of frost delay... normally don’t care to write reviews or whatever but I felt that it was such a waste of a day and was handled so poorly by the staff...
Nice condition for Winter golf
The layout was nice. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were in good shape. Typical winter course, what would be the rough is now dormant short cut Bermuda grass.
The downside, both men’s bathrooms on the course were out of commission and one ice machine wasn’t working.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. I will play it again.
Well..
Actually didn’t get to play this course because of a frost delay after I checked in. So we got sent over to Eagle Nest to tee off early in the a.m. still a very good experience, but a bit disappointed that I didn’t get to play this course after reserving an early tee time.
A nice course to play
Great condition. Nice staff, very nice clubhouse.
Course pace of play was excellent..
Paired up with some terrific members.
It’s okay
It’s an okay course. It is beautifully groomed course and the area surrounding is is lovely. It is very flat and lacks character. The staff is rude and acts like they don’t want golfers who do not live there. It is very playable and the greens are generous but felt like a generic resort course.
Awesome!
Just nice, resort style golf, but if your behind residence. Well your just gonna have too wait, I think it’s the, I’m entitled thinking? Other than that action, it’s a excellent place to play golf in close proximity too home.
