Great Layout Great Views
That could have been even better if they hadn’t removed the five holes in the front 9 to put more housing on the water!! Those holes looked like they were very unique. Anyways, the holes that remain are still very good with the added holes being on some very hilly land that might not be the most suited for golf. That being said I liked them as I love quirk, but I can see others not enjoying them.
Still a very good course that is worth the effort to play.
Good views and good golf
First time visitor the course, and it might become a staple when visiting the area.
Very challenging holes and with the wind blowing 20+, made the scoring tough.
Good start to the course, but the challenges were plenty.
A few holes get the view and that was good.
Would like to play when the wind is calmer, but overall, a good day on the course.
first hole in 1 #12!
played here first time 2015. course had a reputation as s state championship level challenge with exceptional grooming.
it met all expectations.
today.....not even close. greens were damaged in some areas. rough was over grown with invasive species of plants, unmowed . but the atrocity was the removal of 4 holes over looking the lake with 4 holes back around the clubhouse.
you only get to the clubhouse ON HOLE 6! you won't see it again til 18. brutal gap with NO SERVICE. NO SNACK CART. empty coolers on carts. unused. but still......the design of 4 new holes is a JOKE! 2 holes are legit, enjoyable.
2 ARE UNPLAYABLE patches forced on the land.
ridiculous failures in design. massive elevation changes on uneven land. terrible. these 2 holes were the only way to get from point s to point b and back again. worst kind of transition holes.
big #s on the scorecard for no reason.
we played 1130 easter Sunday
3 of us 240$ NOT WORTH IT.
fair would be a 40$ peak time price.
if you can travel. stonecreek in sherman
and the bridges in gunter. both much better
No compensation!
Just played this morning, Off season, range closed, putting green had no flags, cart path only, lake water over fairway, hog damage to numerous holes and yet still had to pay the full weekend rate of $70. I told them about all the problems and I was surprised we had to pay full price and was told to talk to the owners. I told them I would not be back anytime soon. This is my belief is why golf courses are going under, unwilling to compensate for conditions and make customers feel they are getting a good value for the money.
Very good lakeside course
Played here on trip going north, wanted to check out Lake Texoma area. Course had great views on several holes. The layout was challenging at times, definitely some local knowledge needed here. Conditions were very good but not great, but it was a great day. I'll go again if I get the chance.
Good challenge
The course was nice and in good shape the guy at the desk was extremely rude and the drink price was beyond ridiculous. Other than that it was ok
Great views from the clubhouse over lake texoma. Challenges on every hole.
Great views from the clubhouse over lake texoma. Challenges on every hole. With the rough grown up be ready for some U S Open golf. Cant wait till I go back.
this course is great challage for the money
I enjoyed the this course very much. It had very, very fast greens and multiple challenges with water and sand hazards. The fairways were narrow so ball control was key.
Excellent - greens were fast but true !!
The staff was very friendly & helpful. The fairways & greens were in good shape. The greens were super fast but rolled true.
Terrific layout with great variety of holes. Well worth the journey from OKC.
Hadn't played it in several years so it was nice to see it's still an excellent track. Need to pick the right set of tees and then know what to hit from those tees. Easy to get some big fairway bounces and find yourself lost in the gunch after a tee shot you thought was pretty well struck. Tees, fairways and greens all pretty firm but that's kind of expected around here in July. Should be on everyone's 'must play' list.
