Don’t waste money
Go play at Bardmoor (next door for 25$).Don’t waste money to play on a course where owners don’t spend single dime! He was never seen on property! Gym is not in a good condition.The leadership of the club is rude.It's actually entertaining to see the arrogance they exhibit as if they are managing Pinehurst courses !Don't fall for the "special" deals or one time offers. You'll only regret it ! You are stuck for 12 months.
Average course that could be more
You can tell this place use to be a top notch course, but it is starting to appear run down, but still fun to play. Greens were the best of our entire trip and rolled fast and true. Sand traps had seen better days but were ok. Course could use better marking if the public is being allowed to play. Staff was friendly as were the members. Clubhouse is very nice.
A Great Course
Really enjoyed the round at Bayou Club.. Early tee time allowed our group to get around the course in good time. The greens were in exceptional shape.

I like to play different courses in Florida, public and some private and... rarely seen....the staff and member friendship are awesome like that! Golf is supposed to be a good time of life!
Played the course with my wife under 3 hours and half.
Green : rolling perfect.
Fairway: good for the season.
Good challenging course.

Chance to play a Fazio
Private club, got on through reciprocation with my home club. Friendly and accommodating staff. Course conditions - Tee boxes, greens, fairways were very green and in good shape. Some of the rough areas and heavy cart traffic areas were distressed, but generally were not playable area's anyhow. Sucker for Fazio design. Only quirk is back to back par 5's on front and back to back par 3's on back. But overall, a favorite when in the area.
One of my Favorites!!
I have played this course 3 times. Its one of my favorites in the Tampa bay area. For me its a challenging course. The greens are fast and hard to read. It plays long from the tips. The straight forward Par 4's are long and the shorter ones are narrow with lots off trouble. The course is always in great shape and the clubhouse and mens locker room is the best around. If you can get on this course i would highly recommend it. A classic Tom Fazio design, you won't be disappointed.

A reasonably wide open course off the tees but the greens are fast and sloping.
The day I played was extremely windy....I don't recall a windier day playing golf for now over 50 years. Fortunately, the fairways are reasonably wide. But the fairways do need some work as well as some tee boxes.
Greens were in excellent condition and very quick. Lot of slope. Definitely, the toughest part of the course.
Par 3's don't offer much opportunity for error and still hope to make par. Water carries, traps, etc. create the challenges.
