Beware!!!!
I purchased a couple of items from the pro shop and was accused of stealing a skirt! Beware of racism if you are a person of color. The skirt had been returned to the clothing rack.
Everyone in this community makes you feel unwelcome and are aggressive and extremely rude.
Hidden Gem
Mountain View Country Club is beautiful course. This is an Arnold Palmer Signature course. The holes are different and interesting with views of mountains about a mile away. The course is fair and not tricked up. I have played the course many times with different groups of friends. This is our go to golf course when visiting the Palm Springs area.The course is well maintained.
The course is undergoing a major upgrade to the club house which will be completed in November 2020. The staff from the golf employees to the club house and restaurant do a great job.
La Quinta is 20 miles east of the airport and well worth the drive..
Outstanding facility
The first class impression you get when arriving at the front entrance at Mountain View remains consistent the entire round of golf. From the truly gorgeous locker rooms, restaurant and grounds to the impeccable maintenance of this golf course and upgraded little extra touches the golf course staff provides you, this course is a pleasure to visit! Mike and the staff were so friendly and helpful to us as well. A course that is beautiful with a good selection of hole structures yet is not a bully.

Easy course
This is clearly a private club that tries to give the members the lowest possible score they can shoot. This is a very easy course. If you are renting a house in the community, they don't allow you to play golf easily. You can only play with a member a few times and it is $25 a day to use their range. For renters, there are other, better, and more interesting public courses in the area.
