Super Fun!
Get your short game on! Warm up
On the short game course and then enjoy the various challenges on the executive course. My brother got his first hole
In one here. Great place to do it!
Worst Golf Course ever
What a horrible place to golf... The greens are non-existent because they are all dirt. The grounds are garbage and over grown on the fairway. Worst golf course I have ever been to. Should be shut down.
Short game
I like it because I can practice my short game. I don't putt here because the greens are not what you would find on a real golf course. You will lose some balls to water but it helps your nerve to practice hitting over water. Bring short tees. Playing here is much better than using a short game practice area.
Tall grass
The greens were in bad shape, the fairways were not mowed in months. The grass was so deep I lost 6 balls that I should have been able to find. I thought the course was interesting and if the upkeep was better I might try it again
Course getting better
Have played this course a few times in the past 18 months and its a good place to take someone learning to play or not ready for a course with a lot of pressure, the grounds are getting better and the staff is and has been very friendly,
.
Good for Me!
I paid for two players in advance, less than a total of $15 for unlimited golf. I played solo, as my friend had to cancel. Course is short and rustic, but challenging and quaint. It is perfect for improving one's short game. I played 26 holes, and I will come here regularly as an alternative to a driving range. Fun, fun, fun!
Work your wedges
Target golf course to develop your touch and feel with the wedge. Most holes are 90-105 yards.
Greens are unkept which is unfortunate.
I love this course but the greens need help
I love Washoe, but the greens are just atrocious. I understand that it's mostly about the value, but that doesn't excuse the how bad the greens are.
Everything else is in good shape though. Tee boxes are fine. The cuts are maintained. Fixing the green would justify paying double what GolfNow has rates for.
I just like this course...
Anyone who's played Washoe Creek knows it's a mess. The greens don't seem to have the right grass and are in generally bad shape. The tee boxes are badly cared for and badly marked. So what?
What's good? It's hilly, with water hazards and drop offs behind the greens, and sheep and cattle on the adjacent farms. Miss landing the greens at your peril. Sure, you can handle this course with 8 thru sand wedge and your putter. But it makes you stronger and more accurate with those clubs.
Wow, a course in bad shape that I enjoy every time I go there. Could the delicious real cheeseburgers with potato salad on the turn have anything to do with it? Maybe...
It is An Awesome Place
I love playing there as much as I can and the food is excellent a value for your money
Sharpen the Short Game
This facility is perfect if you want to sharpen your short game on the course and not just the range.
Great value for short game practice
I played 27 holes for $5.00 plus tax and fees $6.99 total that's about .25 per hole. Great value. Although, if you are looking for a slice of golf heaven with perfect fairways and greens, then this course is not for you, but for the price what do you expect. The greens are by far the worst greens I've ever putted on. That said, I had a great time. The price combined with the unlimited play resulted in some fun target practice with my irons as well as some challenging putts on those greens. This would be a great place to take someone that is new to the game.
Great place to practice your short irons
This is a great place to practice all your short irons. Greens are not flat due to what looks like multiple types of turf, so putting is very frustrating. My wife and I played 18 holes in 2 hours, and Golfnow.com had a great deal on a Sunday afternoon. They also have a 9 hole chip-n-putt besides the 9 hole outer course we played, so if you have kids or grandkids just getting started golfing, there is a great selection of options for them.
Hole in none
Course is in poor shape. I would not even recommend putting on the greens, as it will most likely hurt Your putting game. That being said, I play here at least Once a month, as it is so close to My house. And its nice to go to a course that is not busy. I have fun, But the course could be so much better with the proper care and proper green cutting.
Fun course for the money
This is a fun course - all 3 par. Green are pretty slow. In general, it is nicely maintained. It's also pretty good exercise with all the hills.
Pretty and Relaxed
Great place to get your short game improvement. Personnel are great and only want their clients to have as much fun as is possible. Always a challenge with lots of water and rough. One must be very accurate to score well, but the informality makes the trip well worth the effort. Terrific place to get a little exercise, as well. It may be short, but it isn't easy.
Very casual course for someone just learning how to play.
Enjoyed not being rushed and no pressure of a lineup of people waiting to play. We are just learning how to play and enjoyed the course which for others might be easy but for us had some challenging holes. Will definitely keep going back to improve our game.
