Tres Marias Golf Club - El Reto Course

Tres Marias Residential Golf Club boasts two courses, El Reto (formerly known as North Course), a championship Jack Nicklaus Signature course, and El Desafío (formerly known as South Course), a nine-hole Nicklaus Design course. The club is the centerpiece of a secluded residential community in Morelia. The challenging El Reto Course has hosted several major events, including the LPGA's Corona Championship. It has a layout that emphasizes strategy and good course management over strength alone. There are plenty of elevation changes throughout the golf course, making a flat lie hard to find. A meandering stream cuts across the layout, coming into play on a few holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking beside the greens. Surrounded by rugged mountain ridges, the views on the course showcase the landmark that the club is named after, a rock formation that look like three standing silhouettes.
