About

Holes 18
Type Public
Par 72
Length 7289 yards
Slope 137
Rating 74.5

Bring your best game to the Links at Waterchase--a long, difficult course that can be had if you get your mind right. Intimidating because of its length (7,304 yards), much of the extra yardage comes from five excruciatingly long par 5s. The key here is to manage these holes, get on the green or close in three, then do what you have to do for your pars.

If you play regularly at a local par 3 course, you might want to work in a practice round before taking on The Links, since there’s five par 3s.
Watch out for the enders on each side, which frame the scenic pond and waterfall that are sandwiched between the two greens. No. 9 is a 433-yard par 4, and requires a solid drive on the left side. Pay attention to the pin placement, as there is water behind the green. No. 18 goes 570 yards from the tips, and offers target golf at its best. You’ll need to lay up at least 120 yards from the hole, and keep the approach below the pin to assure yourself of an uphill putt.

Getting there : Located on the east side of Fort Worth at I-30 and Eastchase Pkwy. Take the Eastchase exit and drive north to John T. White Rd. Turn right and drive a short distance, then take the first right on Randoll Mill Rd. Turn left on Creek Run Rd.

Course in great shape for late March

This is a very fun and challenging course to play. Staff was very nice, cart girl passed by every few holes. Some holes are cart path only, and not always posted well. Tee boxes were in good shape, but not always flat.

Beautiful course

Love the course just wasn’t very happy about being stuck behind a group of like 10 people recording “YouTube content” the entire day

Golfer Beware of Watwrchase

Played with three golfing buddies on 3/1/25. We had called and booked 7 days in advance. We golf here all the time....until now! You'd think they would tell us of the impending cost increase on the day we booked? Na!
It was a beautiful spring day in North Texas...since only three of us were playing, wife decided she wanted to ride along. At check-in... was told it would be $30 for the "rider". What? Why does it cost $30 for a rider? We already need the 2 carts with 3 golfers. Also beware....you'll spend 5 hours out there on a Saturday/Sunday. Bunkers i looked at had no sand...just dirt and not kept up at all.
Tried to upload a picture, but this site was not cooperating with that.

Beware…….Not a Premium Course, Falling apart!

Our group plays here a lot. That is until today. We called and booked our tee time 7 days in advance. They did not mention to us that they intended to raise the price the day we played to $80. This course, while maybe in the past might have been worth that, it certainty is not for the conditions it’s in. Only 3 of our group could play on 3/1….so my wife decided she wanted to ride along as it’s a beautiful day in North Texas. They charged me $30 for her to ride. I’m not kidding you! Why does a rider costs $30? We had to have 2 carts anyway since there were 3 golfers in our group and no one else was booked with us.
No sand in the bunkers on the course. Greens are all beat up and you’ll spend 5 hours out there. Posted a bunker picture.
Just Beware.

fun and challenging couse

this is a fair challenge that combines long and wide open holes with other narrow and shorter that require shot shaping and accuracy. greens are always really fast and tough to read.

Greens

The pins were set 3 paces off the edges. The greens were so fast, a 3 putt was good. If you want that, go to Pinehurst. It ruined the day. I am a 10HC.

Sunset Rule

Was told at 5:15 that carts needed to be returned to the clubhouse. Sun didn't actually set until 5:40-45 and course would've definitely been playable until then or a little after. My round started at 1:42, ended on Hole 15. Use this information to help you choose your tee time! I wouldn't play any later than 1PM.

Range that's shared with Texas 9 is also pretty poor. Course layout is cool and greens were decent. Marshalls were extremely friendly and the highlight of the round was the staff.

C rated golf experience

Upon driving up to the course, the first thing you see is a double wide type trailer serving as the pro shop. Not a permanent structure or building. This exemplifies the Waterchase golf experience. The course is not memorable; we were charged $15 for a medium range bucket (when GolfNow shows range balls included at no charge). The course layout seemed to be haphazard - no major earth work was done to improve the terrain. Whatever shape the land have you, that feature was incorporated into the design. This leads to many ravines or lakes in poorly designed places on any given hole. All in all, we couldn't wait for the round to end.

Possibly the best corse in DFW

I loved this course. Well kept, bunkers and water EVERYWHERE! Challenging. Not too hard for a recreational
golfer to play, but you’re not likely to get your lowest score ever here either. I’ll likely be back

Get out there! Waterchase is in great condition!

I played this course many times over the years. We had a great time out there and the course is in very, very good shape. The pace of play was a tad slow, however, it was a beautiful day and lots of people were out there playing. I will be out there again soon.

Excellent Condition and Fun Layout

I love playing at Waterchase. One of the best public courses in DFW in my opinion. Always in great condition, pace of play is on point and it’s such a fun course. 10/10 would recommend
