Never got to play!
Drove by and saw the golf today sign so decided to stop. After trying to look at the website, apparently defunct we drove directly to the pro shop. We walked in, stated we’d like to play a round and were very quickly told that wasn’t happening unless we had our own cart. “Carts have to be in by 5:30” was the answer we got in a very abrupt manner!
If you want to remain in business and attract the public, I would recommend updating your website and your pro shop staff!
The only positive thing I can say is we met 2 very nice residents and the gate guard was also quite friendly
Solid golf course
I have always been a fan of this golf club. It is wide open on Sunday mornings and doesn’t really get any golfers until 9:30-10:00. The course was in decent shape but I can see some of the greens starting to “go away”. I’m no greens keeper but some of the greens look like they have a “bug” of some kind. I have seen this course where the greens look like carpet because they are so nice. Not currently in that shape. The bunkers aren’t even being maintained currently so stay out of them. I will definitely be playing the course again but I do believe that they are overcharging for this course. They are always around $40-$45 and when they are in great shape then it’s worth it but right now I would say that it is overcharging. Not a complaint as much as a suggestion.
Challenging but greens not in best condition.
Good layout. Greens very small and back 9 was very bumpy with sand everywhere. If they get the greens back to normal it’s a very good course to play.
Very nice course
Beautiful course, courteous staff. They had just aeriated the greens a few days before we played, so not as nice as they will be in a few weeks. Otherwise I would have given them 5 stars.
Greens mostly in very good shape and very receptive due to the almost daily rains. Fairways and tee boxes are good. Some sand traps were holding water. Great pace of play today and really had to hurry to finish 17 & 18 before the rain started again.
Still Healing
This course is normally in phenomenal shape. Unfortunately on this day the greens were still healing from the aeration that was done a couple of weeks ago. The fairways and the fringe around the greens were beautiful but the putting surface was still beat up. Now, these greens are normally so good they look fake but they have several weeks, maybe even months, before they get back to that status. The sand traps were swamped with water from all the rain but the tee boxes were nice. Overall, one of my favorite courses but the greens still need time to heal. Looking forward to that day!
Value course
Course is a great value. Course is short but it makes you play very conservative. Greens had been recently worked and sanded and they were very hard to read. Overall a fun course that offers something for all range of playets
Good value
Really nice shape now that we've had some rain. Greens are spotty with the transition but overall good value for the money.
The recent rains have really helped course conditions. Approach shots are now holding on the greens instead of bouncing off like they were the last couple of times played. The sand in some bunkers was really hard packed because of the rain.
Greens growing from aeration but still OK
Course continues to be an excellent value with wide open play in the afternoon. Mucho rain has helped the aeration and greens should be excellent in the coming week.
Love the layout. Proof that a golf course can be challenging with short par 4’s. You miss the green you pay and the par 3’s demand a good shot for par.
Value bustet
$14 for an excellent 18 holes. Greens were aerated this time but still rolled true. Finished 18 in less than 4 hours. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice club to eat or imbibe.
Can’t wait to play there again.
Great afternoon of golf! The weather was almost perfect and we didn't have to wait on any hole and nobody was pushing us. The course conditions were very good other than a few holes with bunkers that were could use a little work.
Enjoyed
We played this course in the middle of March and it was impeccable. This time around it has been worn down a bit. With that being said I would still rec this course and play it again tomorrow. The greens are soft and hold shots but they were rolling super fast. Sunday morning there is nobody on the course until about 10:00/11:00. Got love having the course all to yourself. Course condition is still good but it looks like it has had significant traffic on it over the past 30 days or so. Hopefully with the snowbirds going back they will be able to bring it back to that pristine condition because this is one of my favorite courses around Ocala.
Very good conditions!
Great course and conditions. Weather was perfect and I played with two others who also booked thru Golf Now. We had a great time. We did catch up a foursome that was pretty slow and followed them for a number of hole. Said something to the marshal at the turn and he had us play thru on the tenth tee. All in all, it was a great day.

Another great course in the Ocala area, this is a good course to place, there are some tricky shots and placement a plus. Some wind made club selection very important. The staff was great, Joe in the shop and Barry the manager made the round good with the info and the hospitality.
