About
The National Golf Club of Louisiana is the cornerstone of the Westlake community. The course wanders through towering stands of beautiful Louisiana soft pines that provide an idyllic setting. The layout measures more than 7,000 yards from the back tees, offering plenty of holes that will please long hitters. The challenging greens are known to be some of the largest of any golf course in the area. The size of the greens can accommodate a variety of hole locations, allowing the course to play differently each time. You'll be tested with 80 strategically placed bunkers and 14 different lakes that come into play throughout. The generously wide fairways are seemingly docile but the subtle slopes and rolling terrain can be unforgiving. Accuracy and proper club selection are the keys to scoring well at The National Golf Club of Louisiana.

Nice layout bad greens
This was a fun an interesting track. Nice lies in the fairway, but the greens were terrible. Lots of Poana grass and bare spots on the greens in addition to very lumpy surface. Not a bad course for the money
Great Course
Course was in good shape, and it was extremely difficult with water hazards and sand traps on the fairways and putting green areas.

Weekend Loafers
Play could have been much quicker. Groups of 4 and 5 slowed the pace way down. Took 5 hours for 18 holes.

The experience
Hands-down, one of the best golf courses in Louisiana! The course is in tiptop shape. Everybody is super friendly and the price is incredible for what you get.!!
Ruff green conditions
Greens were in the worst shape I have ever seen at this course. Has always been in pretty good shape until this time. Very disappointed.
Greens Need Help
Course layout excellent, pace of play good, no bathroom facilities on back nine. THE GREENS WERE IN BARELY ACCEPTABLE CONDITION.
Fairways not so good
Greens were decent but a little too slow. They need to let the fairway grass grow a little more to fill in.

Played in 3 1/2 hours and had a good time.Course was in very good shape, greens were a little fast but very nice.Great Day!
